Yes, 5 days tonight, no buying, no bumming cigarettes.

:appl:

Congrats! Awesome job :appl:

Stay strong Danny! It's a hard battle to fight but it's worth it for your health. Every day makes you that much more successful!! Good luck =)

Proud of you! Keep us posted! :appl:

Danny, I have an idea...abstain from smoking for all these days that your landlord is making love. Afterwards, each time you have an urge to smoke, just remember the sounds of their lovemaking..nothing works better than aversion therapy.

:appl: Great job!!

Keep up the good work Danny! You are doing great!!!

That's awesome Danny!!! :appl: :appl:

You rock!!

Way to go Danny! And Arkteia's suggestion is HILARIOUS!!!!

Thanks everyone!

6 daze. :cheeky:

YEAH

Danny, that's great!! Hang in, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts!

Thanks! :))

go, danny, go! :D

1 week. :cheeky:

A FULL WEEK!!! Congratulations Danny! :appl: Keep it up! very proud of your success - its a hard habit to kick.

You go Danny! It is hard, but I know you can do it! So proud of you!

Thanks everyone! I suppose I should just make a post when it's been a year or something. We can't have "Danny quit smoking Day 63". :cheeky:

I feel like I'm going to make it and appreciate the help getting started! :wavey:

Congrats, Danny!! You can do it :)

We can have something like, "Merry Christmas! Still going strong!" At least someothing like it..

Hey Danny :wavey:

Are you on day 12 now of quitting?? Hang in there. Was thinking of your progress and hope you'll post an update :twirl:

That's very kind of you, Arkteia and Enerchi! Thanks!

I've stopped counting. I'm going to write my quit date somewhere. It was a randomly chosen day so if I don't write it down I won't remember it.

So far perfect!

I want to add one thing to this thread-

if you are like me one of those people "who can't have just one"- remember that and don't.

I quit for three years. I remember buying the first and second pack. After that it's a blur. I thought that one and the second one could be it. Don't tell yourself lies. I trapped myself in it again for a year.

Thanks, everyone! :wavey:

YEAH!!!

You've now changed your entire fate line; miserable lung cancer or COPD is no longer in your future!

Congratulations! :wavey:

Thanks, iLander! :))

How are you doing with it?

Danny, fantastic! Still cheering you on.

iLander how are you doing?

I'm very impressed with both of your resolve to kick the smoking habit. No one has made that decision an easy one, but you're doing the BEST thing for yourself and everyone who loves you.

Congrats Danny and iLander! Keep it up!

Thanks! Today I felt like it was a turning point. I felt much better than at any time since I quit. I felt much more relaxed. It was like when you have the flu and there's a point where the misery stops. I have to say having had such a great day to those of you considering quitting, you should. It's hard to start and it's hard to get through the beginning, but it's worth it.

:appl:

Yeah! Danny!

Start counting how much you've saved! Not just in cigs, but in future medical costs!

I'm so happy for you! :))
