Do you drink it? Why? What are the benefits?

I ran into a woman I haven't seen in over 6 months and she looked fantastic. She even looks like she lost some weight. When I asked her if she was doing anything special she told me she found ashwagandha tea and it has helped her to feel calm and more restful and she even lost her post menopausal belly.

So is it true? If so, I am going out and getting me some.

I honestly believe that you can drink just about any herbal/natural tea/tisane and it will have great benefits. I feel better rested when I drink my rose tisane. I definitely believe that some green teas help with weight loss (Green, white, woo long, possibly this ashwagandha) because it boosts metabolism. Many teas are full of health boosting nutrients and antioxidants. I generally am much better feeling when I drink two to three cups of tea if not more a day. Right now I am really loving Ti Kuan Yin which is a light floral tea. I drink about as much green and white tea as I do water some days. I enjoy chai for something spicier. I generally avoid just plain tea.

Hi, my name is Trekkie and I'm addicted to rooibos tea: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooibos_tea

It's a South African bush tea. It's completely caffeine free and full of antioxidants.

My grandmother swears rooibos tea is the reason she is 71 and has no wrinkles!

I actually saw a brief blurb about this tea on Dr. Oz last week =) He said it does help with relaxation and is very good for peri-menopause/menopausal symptoms and that weight loss can also be somewhat attributed to this specific tea.

I LOVE tea and drink all different varieties and blends, mostly green teas, but some herbals as well, but have yet to try this...thanks for the reminder, going to pick some up this week! Sure can't HURT anyway!

Thanks this is good to know. I have to limit my caffeine intake and so if uncaffeinated to begin with I can drink more often.
