if you could start over again would you do anything different?

Not buy all those overpriced mediocre-quality pearls...

i love my collection so far -- it's small-- but for my age, I definitely have a lot of nice jewelry. I only "started" 3 years ago when I was 17, but if I were to start over, I would not have bought my Tiffany Jazz and Metro simply because Tiffany is just so darn overpriced. I would have went to Leon from the start

For the most part yes. Only thing I regret getting is my 5 stone instead of a full eternity.

I should of gone with smaller stones and had it made for my right hand from the start. Now I'm collecting a bunch of half carats that are just sitting in my jewelry box collecting dust. This project is taking years, and more cash than I ever wanted to spend on a right hand ring. Ahh well.. too late now.

No, I'm not. But I only really want a few pieces made that I've sketched out and that should satisfy the urge for a few years.

The only regret I have is not finding the colored stone forum earlier. My collection would have been SO much better quality. I've got a few pieces that I rarely wear because they're sub par compared to my others. Luckily PS was here for my engagement ring purchase.

Well considering I only have 5 pieces of fine jewelry, I'm definitely not happy with the collection yet... but I'm working on it! Of the few pieces I do have,3 were inherited and I love them. One piece is a peridot ring that I really like enough though it's cut like crap. The color and design of the ring are just so pretty.

I'm hoping to keep my collection increasing though! I'll have to start figuring out what I want for my birthday....

Yes, I am. It's small, but i'm only 29, so give me some time... :naughty:

Do differentlly? I'd make sure my husband had a better understand of diamonds before he bought my e-ring.

I have a lot of jewelry, some very expensive and fun stuff. I'm happy with my pearl collection. Earrings are always cheap because I tend to lose one. My necklace and pendants are OK, but I don't think my passion for rings will ever diminish.

Ny only complaint is that I don't have more.

Nope. Too many low quality stuff from when I started buying and too many unset gems, since I tend to spend money on stones, not setting.

I really have to do something about it.

Well, I do like the stuff I have. :appl: As soon as I got interested in diamonds, I found PS. But on the other hand, I have an forever growing wishlist. :nono:

This is why I love PS... how many people do you know (IRL) that say they are collecting half carat diamonds? :)

I WISH I would've jumped on some stones for diamond earrings... they are now sold (a PS'er so that's cool!). Now I just have to wait..

I wish I had more!

All I have is a pair of crappy super-included cheapo diamond studs that I never remove (they don't even sparkle--- phooey) and the engagement ring. Everything else is basically costume jewelry (& silver stuff).

Oh, but my favorite piece is my T&C star necklace that my SO bought me for my birthday last year. I never take it off (unless I'm mad at her, LOL)

Not yet. I only have two diamonds above 0.75 carats, and that's gotta change...

Also need more coloured gems....

And some pearls...

Hmm. I'd better get a move on.

I need to own a sapphire! I also desire more peridot jewelry. I got one, and it memorizes me! I think diamonds are lovely, but I don't think they are worth the money. (I know, shoot me!) I hope to have a fun and colorful collection one day, and I thank PS for exposing me to the wide world of possibility, and especially custom projects!

I  my collection. :)

My only "regret" as such is that I tend to focus on pendants and rings, which I can't exactly wear all at the same time: I need to start diversifying and get me some earrings and bracelets!

I'm not UNhappy with it - but there are still a few things I'd like to get. I am a bit minimalist though so once I get my eternity and reset my diamond and get some drops for my earrings and a pendant, I think I'm done! Maybe a bracelet haha :naughty:

I'm mostly happy, but recently I've been thinking I should sell some of the earlier stones I set that aren't quite what I now look for in the colour department, but were sentimental favourites because they were early gemstones. I think I went with a quantity over quality approach when I first ventured into CS.

I really should start branching out more into earrings and pendants.

In general, yes, I'm quite happy.

Naturally, I have a long list of things I'd like to add, but I'm not in any hurry. Often, just daydreaming is enough for me.

I don't think that the spinel in my antique family setting is the forever stone, but it's pretty and it fit my budget at the time, so I'm not in a hurry to put something else in the setting. Maybe someday and OEC, but I'll have to save my pennies for that!

I'm very happy with it!

I would choose new diamond studs in a heartbeat. I made a poor and expensive choice and have regretted them for the last year. I hate them even more now that I picked out some amazing studs for my FMIL and I got to see how much nicer they are than mine. I wish I could steal them out of her ears and give her mine. This is the only purchase that upsets me and I think about it ALL the time :(sad.

I'm happy with the latter part of a collection acquired over a longish period of time, during which my taste mutated from everyday modern to vintage and antique. Am waiting for things to flip over so that I can feel guilty about the whole collection and not just part of it :loopy:

No. I overspent on my more expensive stuff. I have some stupid stuff that I shouldn't even consider buying but it is nice for a geologist's collection. Will do. Wish I found PS earlier.

I'm sure there is a clause for that somewhere ;)

Be careful - this comment might spark another forum war! I am still amazed at the original...

:o you didn't put that on the prenuptial agreement?

Well, It's a small collection but I'm satisfied, there are some lower quality rings bought in cheaper jewelry stores but still I love them all :)) . I'm very proud of white gold and small ruby necklace and bracelet I've inherited from my husbands grandmother, I'd say those are my favourite pieces of jewelry =) .

I'm happy with my collection, but theres plenty of room left. I think for someone my age  , I have a great ring collection. But I'm thinking about selling the little ones and buying the ones I really really want.
