Are you brand loyal?

I am for super silly things...like I really only buy Kleenex brand tissues. Most of my beauty products (shampoo, deodorant, etc.) I buy the same brand, but I do like to try new brands when I see them advertising something new, but I usually come back to the old stand byes. With fashion, no, not so much, but I think that''s because at this point in my life, I''m still buying what I can afford. I would like to buy higher quality things, but right now I''m okay with New York and Company, Old Navy, etc.

Purses...I usually stick to two brands.

M3 player...yes, only iPod will do.

But outside of those things...I''m fair game.

really depends. I don't on medication- as the generic consist of the same makeup and much cheaper. Groceries sometimes. Cars, I only buy Japanese, DH has converted also. Bags - I'm a Coach and Dooney lover - just love the way the wear and feel. Sneakers - yes (Aasics - just fit me better). Clothes - My closet consist of mostly Ann Taylor Loft (petite issues). Oh shampoo - Biolage - I've tried others, just works with this one so I stick with it.

My Chi hair straightener. I don''t care how many I go through, I haven''t found anything that works as well.

Except... my ketchup must be Heinz. Sponges must be Scotch - the kind with the rough stuff on one side and sponge on the other (I don''t have a dishwasher).

And I''m a Nissan girl... I''ve driven the same car for 11 years. It''s got 192000 miles, and I think she''ll hit 250K before she dies. I hope, anyway.

Expensive items, Yes as long as they keep it up.
Once they don't, I'm out loud, word to mouth has a price.
For most things I'm okay willing to try new.

I''m pretty brand loyal. My issue is that when I find something I like, everything else seems like a cruddy imitation. So it just makes sense to stick with what I like, even if there''s a difference in price. I research practically every purchase I make though, so if my "brand" isn''t getting good user reviews, I will think twice and try something different.

Okay, other than the shampoo and Dooney...I could have written this post. I love ATL because of the price and style - it''s SO HARD to find clothes that are cute, business casual and age appropriate. Will never buy anything other than Aasics again.

To a point, I have the brands I prefer, but I can be swayed.

My last car was a Honda, and when looking at new ones I would only look at Hondas and Toyotas. I ended up with a Toyota.

For clothes, my favorite is J-crew, but I will buy anything that looks good, and fits at a reasonable price.

I guess I am kind of brand loyal for hand bags. If I am spending more than $20, than it has to be Coach.

I guess I am most loyal to Apple. I have a MacBook, an iPhone, and iPod. They are slowly taking over my life....

I think I''ve evolved into a brand loyal person. Becaise I worked for Gap, I find that I am very much a Gap fan. Even if they continue to bug me about that freaking credit card, that''s a place I will always shop. I include Banana Republic with Gap. I get pretty much all of the twins clothing from babyGap.

I MUST have Viva paper towels. They are the best paper towels ever!

HP is my computer maker of choice. My next one is going to be the HP touchsmart. And HP makes the best printers, hands down. Although, I had a great experience with Lexmark.

My sunglasses of choice are the Rayban Wayfarer, well, I have a small face so I buy the New Wayfarer. I have a lot of them.

I will never shop at Abercrombie. It''s pretty much the only store I cannot stand. I don''t like the background of the company and the image they "sell." Plus, the clothing is logo infested and I''m not a super huge fan of logos plastered everywhere.

Vehicles . . . I know that a lot of people are loyal to certain makes, but I''m not totally. I will be honest and admit that I regret not buying an American car.

I like Dawn for anything dishwashing related. And I have to Clorox bleach. Heinz ketchup and mustard.

And for the life of me, I don''t understand why they make off brand ziplock bags. It should illegal!

Oh yes! I swear by Bath & Body Works products True Blue Spa line.

I used to work there when I was in college and that''s when my addiction began! By far they have the best moisturizers (for me), and they are hypoallergenic!!!

I think I agree with people who say that if something works, they stick to it. I am very brand loyal for certain things, while for others I could care less:

-Makeup, Fresh
-Perfume, Delices by Cartier
-Lingerie, Victoria's Secret
-Jeans, I buy other brands, but I really prefer Levi's in junior sizes because they fit better and they are cheaper than Lucky's or Seven jeans
-Computer Stuff, Apple (I have an iMac and an iPod, but I am eyeing a Macbook and I want an iPhone, but I won't switch to AT&T)

Everything else, clothes, shoes, bags, glasses, etc....it's just what I like and can afford when I am looking for a particular item. Sometimes, I am looking for shoes and I can afford luxury ones (Kate Spade, Manolo and Louboutin), other times, I need dressy shoes and can only afford nice ones from Nine West or Nina...and yet other times, all I can scrape up are Charlotte Russe ones or Wet Seal....same for clothes...

I am very brand loyal with almost everything. If I get a different brand and it doesn''t work, I always blame it on the brand. I''m like that with everything from paper towels (has to be Viva) to coffee (bustelo) to cars (I prefer toyota over everything else, even luxury cars).

Clothes and shoes are different though because I just go with whatever fits.

when it comes to cars we have been loyal to NISSAN. Have had 3 diff. cars from Nissan and all have been fabulous. Looking forward to our 4th later on this yr

Viva paper towels is a MUST in my home...

Sprint for our cell carrier since we have had a great deal with them for 9 yrs even though I would want an I-phone..

Nine West handbags. Great quality and styles at a lower price.

Anne Klein watches. An expensive look for cheap, and they hold up to everyday use.

Aveda products are the best I''ve ever used on my hair, and I''ve used them all.

Aveeno makes the best inexpensive facial treatment products IMO. I''ve never switched brands since using theirs.

All the Liz Claiborne clothing lines fit well and are made well.

CoverGirl mascara. Since the age of 13. Nobody does it better.



Seems all my brand loyalty is for the smaller ticket items.

I hate shopping for clothes in person. If I can order online and know that it''ll fit me, that''s what I''ll do 90% of the time. And mostly I like Ann Taylor''s classic looks (although I do not love some of their attempts to be trendy. I just want to tell them "stop, guys, it''s not your strong point").

I don''t think I''m brand loyal -- definitely "brand lazy" -- but I''m pretty "vendor loyal," especially when it comes to things where trust and skill are important (like, oh, buying sparkly rocks?). If I''ve had a good experience with a particular cutter/dealer, or know other people who have, then I''m pretty consistent in sending my business there. Same''s true in reverse for bad experiences, of course.

I am loyal to my Bare Escentuals foundation, but that''s about it. I go through "loyalty periods" - for a while I loved Dooney handbags, then Coach, then Kate Spade. Now I''m sporting a less "brand name" Tignanello, though, and I love it. I will also do that with skin care and cosmetics, but for years my favorite brands have been Bobbi Brown, NARS, Clinique, and MAC.

I also really love Ann Taylor Loft jeans - they fit me really well - since I had my child almost 3 years ago, they are the only brand I usually buy.

I also love underwear from Target - sexy and comfy - I haven''t purchased from Victoria''s Secret in years!

Apple electronics - i LOVE my iMac and iPhone (even though AT&T can suck it)

Acura/Honda - i''ve driven a Legend, Integra and now my TSX...i''ve tried to consider other brands but i always end up going back to it

Canon cameras and lenses - with the exception of my Sony point & shoot (it was a gift), these have been the only cameras i''ve used since i was a kid

Tylenol - i''m allergic to everything else

Charmin TP or Quilted Northern (only the new 3-ply kind) - i''m not a TP snob but the BF sure is! he grew up poor so his mom could only buy the rough 1-ply kind. nowadays since he can afford nicer TP, he''s made me promise to ALWAYS buy the good stuff. "only 2 or more ply will touch my butt!"

I still have a few years before my 9 year old Civic dies ... I''m giving it til 10 or 11 before I start looking at other cars seriously, and even then I''ll only get a new one if something happens to the Civic that costs too much to fix. It only has 115,000 miles, so I think it has a way to go yet. Freke, I can''t believe yours only has 53,000! That thing will go forever.

I''ve had 3 cars in the 10 years I''ve been driving because my parents gave me their old cars so they could get new ones

The first was a 10 year old Toyota that was awesome, until the axel cracked and we had to sell it for parts

Then I got a 10 year old Civic that was awesome for a few years, except for the big rust problem then tended to get on the rear bumper (which has to be fixed under PA law to pass inspection). Once that got expensive, my mom gave me her other Civic, which was only 5 years old at the time. Practically a new car for me! Haha. I still love it. I also convinced FI to buy a slightly used Accord that he adores as his first car. So yeah ... I will probably just go back to the Hondas after all. I just wish the Civic had more luxury options, because I''d like something a little nicer, but not as big as the Accord (I loooove driving small cars).
