are you addicted to texting?

because you don't have to worry about calling during nap. And you can send a quick question without needing a longer conversation.

I will often have an 8-second conversation with my SO or friends; I never feel a "need" to talk longer.

"Hi, I'm driving home, do we need milk?
"No."
"Okay, Bye"

I'm not too traditional, even with so-called "phone manners".

Not addicted, but I definitely make use of the convenience. I'd rather read a text then listen to a freaking voicemail I HATE VOICEMAILS--don't even have a voicemailbox set up anymore.

DITTO. I hate voicemails so much and pretty much never listen to them.

My texting varies A LOT. If we have a litter of foster kittens that have been advertised for adoption, I'm sending up to 20 texts/day to various people who enquire. I am not allowed to make calls at work and have short break periods (the last thing I'm going to do is skip lunch to talk to the phone, or try to talk and eat at the same time), so sending texts is the only way people can hear from me between 8-4. No kittens? Then my texts drop down maybe 20/week.

About 15-20 texts per day. My daughter sometimes thinks I'm not having a good day if I don't sound all
cheerful by my text....I have to remind her that texts are "emotionless."
Texts are sometimes easier than playing phone/voicemail tag. Most of my clients like it when I text
them an appointment reminder. Just careful to ask if it's ok first.

Comedian Tom Green has a very fun take on text messages and other technology on HBO.
Saw it last night. Very funny! Even if you're not a Tom Green fan.
