THE COUPLE ARE RUMOURED TO BE STARTING A TRIAL SEPARATION

TOM Cruise and Katie Holmes will be embarking on a trial separation, according to reports. The couple, who wed in 2006, are said to be arguing over whether Katie should move to New York with daughter Suri.

A US magazine claims that Katie is “trying to break away from her controlled life under the watchful eyes of her husband and move to Manhattan in what will be a sort of trial separation.”

A source said: "She desperately needs to be on her own for a while, but there’s no way Tom is going to let her take Suri away.

“There’s no way he’ll allow it. He just doesn’t want Katie - or Suri - out of his sight for long. "He told her that if she goes to New York, fine, but he goes with her.”

I read this in the UK OK magazine online, don''t know how credible it is, thought I''d share.

I heard that rumor too, but I just saw an article dismissing it. Do you have the article or are you referring to the US Weekly article? I hope she does get away from him though because I think he''s weird and controlling.

You just don''t know what to think anymore, the paparazzi and tabloids spread so many rumours and things that may not be true, could end up being true due to the pressure and fallout from such articles.

I hope for their daughters sake that it works out however like you, there''s just something about Tom that disturbs me, which is a shame cos I always rated him, he is very controlling and I think now that the ''honeymoon'' period is over fo them both, she may have found that things aren''t as rosey as she first thought.

Call me an old cynic, but I personally think it is a matter of time before they do split. Maybe it is me, but I notice in more recent pics, she doesn't seem to smile anymore. She forms her lips into a curve, but it doesn't look like she is really smiling.

I have heard many stories about their marriage. Another one I heard was that he''s trying to cover up his sexuality by marrying her and that he made her sign a contract, etc. before marriage (apparently Nicole Kidman did as well).

I read about the sexuality thing too. That ties into Scientology and the rumor that John Travolta is gay too and Scientology helps them hide it. Of course they have to donate large sums of money for the secret to be maintained. Looks like they''re getting their money''s worth!

About Katie and Tom, there''s been so much talk about how controlling he is since they got together, at this point I''m starting to think it''s not just gossip.

You know, from what I can tell, all of the "gossip" has some grain of truth in it. She has changed drastically since they''ve been together and I do think it''s only time before she manages to get out.

I feel sorry for her. I think he''s nuts. And totally has some kind of personality disorders or he''s got some serious secrets that he''s hiding from the public.

I hope it''s true.

Yes, poor Wash. I just finished re-watching Firefly... I can''t believe something so good could get cancelled when there''s so much cr@p on TV.

She has seemed to change to much, she is much older in her appearance and demeanor. She is very chic and I almost always love her clothes, but she seems much more under his control.

Suri is precious! I hope Katie finds happiness, where ever it is. Being in a gilded cage is still being in a cage in the ultimate analysis. All the Hermes in the world does not change that.
