Wedding Are Rehearsal Dinner Invites Necessary

my problem is that because we are having an OOT wedding, we are inviting more people to the dinner then need to attend the church...

Maybe you could callit a prewedding celebration or something...sorry I''m really not good with stuff like that, but I know it''s common for out of town guests to come to the rehearsal dinner even if they have nothing to do with the ceremony, so I''m sure it''s been done before...

I didn''t bother with paper invitations. I did mine on evite. That way it''s easy to track who''s coming and who''s not and good thing we did evite becos we decided to change the restaurant after we sent it out and all the guest got an automatic email update. But for the older guest without email addresses, this might not work.

We just verbally invited our OOT guests to the rehearsal dinner. I knew approximately how many to make for the reservation and then the day before I confirmed with everyone. It worked out fine.
