appraisals?

appraisals??? can you get them done at any old jewler? or are there specific places. i def want to take my ring to get looked at tomorrow. gosh i love this forum, i am feeling so much better after reading some of the replies to my postings!

It really depends on what you want the appraisal for...If you go to the top of the page and under the "Knowledge" category, there is a category of "Appraiser Essentials." That''s a good place to start to see what you want to look for in an appraiser...

I prefer to get my appraisals from a GIA certified gemologist for the best understanding of my jewelry...
