My little sister/MOH has cerebral palsy, and her right foot kind of spasms, so i''ve been trying to come up with ideas to help her find shoes. her CP isn''t so severe that her walking is impeded, but the toes on her right foot kind of fan out, which means no flip flops or sandals because they come off, and her foot is also shaped a bit like a hammer because of the way it tilts when she walks, so it''d need to be a wider shoe as well. any ideas for cute silver shoes with a really low heel and some kind of ankle strap that''d look appropriate on a 20 year old? thanks so much!!!

Could it be a mary jane? I''ve seen some really cute ones lately.

My little sister (17 now, was 16 at the time of the wedding) served as my MOH and she also has CP. She wore some type of mary janes kind of like what I wore as my wedding shoes. Mine were sketchers though and hers were a bit dressier. She normally wears leg braces (so I'm guessing her CP is more severe than your sister's), but my mom didn't want her to wear them for the pictures so these shoes offered a bit more support than most dress shoes.

ETA: I just looked at my wedding pics and she wore ballet slippers with a strap accross the middle of the foot. Shows how bad my memory is!

worth trying--thanks for the suggestions! robbie, my sister only wore a brace on her right leg, but she had a surgery about two years ago where they cut her heel cord to make her foot relax, and it has worked pretty well for her, so she no longer has to wear the brace.

I have CP (left side). I''ve had the leg brace and the surgery you mentioned, among other things. My left foot is a size smaller than my right. Shoe shopping is a total NIGHTMARE, especially for formal shoes.

I got lucky and found a closed white sandal with a one inch heel for my HS prom, and will be wearing those shoes at my wedding. I will, however, need to buy a pair of shoes to go with the brown dress I bought for my brother''s wedding... I''m not looking forward to that, but I''m hoping to find a nice pair of brown leather mary janes.

A sotre I love is Naturalizer. They usually have a great selecdtion for people with foot issues. Good luck to your sister, I definitely simpathize.
