i saw it on TV a few weeks ago and was wondering if anyone has tried using it. does it work? i''m usually skeptical of things i see on informercials.

I just bought a pack at Bed Bath and Beyond last night. I haven''t tried it yet but I am hoping it works (fingers crossed!) I will update later

it looks like it''s just a super exfolliator. I would be careful about using it too much in one place...sand paper+skin=ouchie!

akmiss- definitely update us. i wonder if it really removes hair so easily and "pain free" or if it dries out your skin. also wondering how the hair grows back (finer, more coarse, etc.).

I bought it a few weeks ago and it definitely doesn''t compare to shaving. It takes a lot longer for me to use it and the results are not as nice. I won''t be buying it again, but if it gets to the point where I''m unable to shave my legs (so far not issues at about 7 months pregnant), I''d feel way more comfortable with DH using the smooth away to help me out than I would with him using a razor.

I bought it at Target and got it home to find that the pink applicator thing wasn''t in there. (We''re an hour away from Target) Mom had ordered it off the tv, and brought it in for me to try a couple days later. (My parents are notorious for buying things and then not using them) It worked, but like someone said above, it took a long time, and I don''t think it''s nearly the miracle device it''s made out to be on tv.

Yes, ouch for sure. I bought it for a friend who has very noticeable facial hair, but upon opening the box I read that it is not to be used on the face. So then I thought to try it on my own hairy forearms. It took forever to use, left lots of hairs, and I ended up with red patches that look like burns.

They show that you can use it on your face in the commercial. That''s pretty much what the small one is for. I have it and used it Saturday. I did my lip, and so far so good. I think I did it a little to long because it did get dry, but it worked!

I will say that it''s making my sensitive skin super itchy!!! I used it on my thighs and tummy. Sooo itchy. Meh, $8.

thanks for chiming in ladies. i have sensitive skin so i probably shouldn''t try it. sounds kinda painful and not very efficient. of course they make it look so easy and fast. too good to be true.

You are right, it is advertised for use on womens'' facial hair. I cant remember for sure but I think the warning said "not for use on beards." Unfortunately my friend''s facial hair is more like a man''s beard than peachfuzz, so I never even gave it to her to try.

LOL, yeah it does say that. It doesn''t work for thick hair at ALL. Fuzzies only.
