Not usually, but I have read a couple that I enjoyed. I tend to read them after I read heavy material to lighten things up. I read Bridget Jones Diary. Another one is Rachels Holiday. Its thick but it is good. An author that writes girly books that I like is Marian Keyes
I don't read a whole lot of chick lit these days, but I do love Marian Keyes and Cecelia Ahern. Enough to try and get them off Ebay if they're released in Europe before the US.Date: 7/30/2009 10:59:34 AM

I really like Isabel Wolff. The Trials of Tiffany Trott is a kick, though it''s been a few years since I read it.Date: 8/1/2009 12:21:43 AM

I have read Meg Cabot too. I think after My Sisters Keeper I will have to do some light reading. What do you suggest?
Interesting fact, didn''t know this! I will have to look for her other name! Thanks for the tip!Date: 8/1/2009 6:51:07 PM

Audball, I also really like Emily Giffin and Sophie Kinsella. I think Sophie Kinsella''s real name is Madeleine Wickham, and she has books in her real name too. One of them is called the Gate Crashers or something like that. After a while a lot of these books start sounding the same but I still like them. Are there any other chick lit authors out there? I haven''t read them all but I feel like i keep seeing the same authors over and over again.

I''m enjoying Sophie Kinsella (Undomestic Goddess is my favorite so far). I''m also enjoying Debbie Macomber''s Blossom Street series -- she weaves (or should I say knits?) together the stories of several women, all of which have happy endings, of course. A good formula, and she does it well.
There''s also an older author I like whose name I can''t recall offhand. She wrote the Shell Seeekers, and a number of romance-oriented books set in England and Scotland. Definitely girly stuff although, like Debbie Macomber, the main characters'' ages probably vary a bit more than the those in the true ''chick lit'' formula.
LOVE HER! Definitely endorse her and her novels!Date: 8/1/2009 1:43:36 PM

I LOVE them, so easy to read.
Some favorite authors of mine are Sophia Kinsella, Jane Green, Emily Giffin, Jennifer Weiner, and Lauren Weisberger.
