I was wondering if anyone has purchased a Zeno... it''s an acne clearing device available at many stores. With my wedding coming up, I think I''d like to have one since they supposedly work pretty quickly. I''d love to hear everyone''s experience with them!

C''mon guys... no one has one? The reviews online are pretty mixed... about 2/3 good and 1/3 bad so I need some users to speak up!

I don''t have one, but if you''re having any acne issues at all, I highly recommend asking your dermatologist for Retin-A! They should start paying me because I''ve told everyone I know how good it is. My skin was great within a month of using it! (I should point out that I wasn''t having serious acne problems, but my skin was looking pretty rough for me.)

Anyways, I hope somebody answers you about the Zeno-I''m interested in hearing about it, too!

Thanks for the reply Thing2of2! I''ll ask my doctor about that next time... can my regular doctor prescribe it or do I need to go to a dermatologist? Are there any bad side-effects? I don''t have severe acne by any means... its just the occasional breakout aroung my hairline and chin... and lots of those deep cysts that hurt like crazy! Since I wasn''t getting any responses about teh Zeno, I went out and bought one. They have a 30 day guarantee so I figure I don''t have too much to lose. I''ve used it on 2 different places so far and they recommend like 3 treatments per blemish in a 24 hour period so we''ll see how it goes.

Sorry Oobie, I''m really late chiming in.

Have it. Love it. I get stress/hormonal acne and if you catch the suckers early enough, they practically disappear. If you get them after a day or two, it just seems to speed along the process. Mine are slow to go through the whole "appear/rise to the occasion/disappear" process (we''re talking months sometimes!!!), so this is a godsend.

Keep in mind that I cannot use any sort of acid on my face...it burns my skin right off, so this is the only thing I have. Perfect? No. Does it get rid of everything? No. But it''s pretty awesome.

I imagine you could get your regular doctor to prescribe it, right? I know it takes me FOREVER to get a dermatologist appointment, so if you need it before your wedding I would try your regular doctor. I got it from the dermatologist, though.

I know Retin-A can make your skin sensitive to the sun and it did dry my face out some, so every now and then I would skip a day to give my skin a rest. I think it can also cause redness, and my face would get a little red every now and then, but again, I would just skip a day and it would calm down. My dermatologist said you can also just use it every other day. I was getting some cysts on my cheeks, which I usually never get, and it worked wonders on them. I used the Retin-A in conjunction with a liquid topical antibiotic.

I actually stopped using it before I went on vacation to Costa Rica because of the possibility of sensitivity to the sun, and I must admit I haven''t used it since then, but my skin has still been great-just the usual 2 or 3 zits around my period. Plus it helped with clogged pores, so I don''t really have any bumps on my face, either.

I have one and I love it. Before Zeno I used to put hot compresses on pesky blemishes and this replicates that but is much more convenient. It works best if you start right when you feel a hint of a blemish coming on. But even if you catch it late, the Zeno definitely shortens the life of the blemish. I think its well worth it. Its not a miracle device, but it does work.
