Just wanted to know your thoughts if you have gone from Three stone back to or to a Solitaire? I''ve read the other thread about going from a solitaire to a Three stone, but seeing if anyone has done the opposite?

I''ve thought about it, but every time I try on a solitaire I''m reminded why I don''t and probably never will - I adore the look of solitaires on other people, but they just look silly on my hands...

like ambergretchen, I have, after getting my three-stone, considered going back to a solitaire. but I can''t see changing at this point. i absolutely love my three-stone. while i can''t say with certainty that i''d never go back to a solitaire, i don''t see it happening any time soon. could it be you haven''t found many threads about going from 3-stone to solitaire because it doesn''t happen much?

D&T: are you considering it yourself? And what setting are you considering? Do tell!

HMMM, seriously considering (but semi bezel for the three ring).. I feel as if I have changed my setting from my first ering.. (small princess subpar .40 ct faux tension/bar set if you will, one 10 pointer on each side kite shaped burnished in pretty wide width) to my fully custom with side stone another bar setting by WF (height was too tall) then changed it out to temporary setting in the keystone solitaire. But not sure if I would regret it and want to go back to a solitaire if I chose the three stone setting... like you i have a jazz bezel made by WF... I love love the band.. but I can't seem to get my ering setting right... I've tried on my sister's ring pronged set, and other rings I've seen at the mall.. just nothing seem to do. i know that I like to have my stone set low.. and I so want two RB about 25-30 pointers each to flank my diamond which I love

I figured if it came back down to going back to a solitaire- I can always get those side stone reset in a bezel stud anyways.. I know I'm all over the place

D&T: I feel your pain about finding the *right* e-ring! It can be a tough decision narrowing down to just one. I think if I ever went back to a solitaire I''d consider the half bezel-style setting that you described. That or the WF knife-edge Tiffany replica. And I''d use the side stones in my three ring for diamond stud earrings. But that''s just me thinkin''....

Just keep trying different styles, and I am sure you will eventually land on one that you like. Although I will tell you from experience that hanging around PS doesn''t help with making that permanent decision.

Just when you thought you''d settled on something...you see something else that catches your eye!

I had the three-stone my husband gave me while we were dating turned into a solitaire and earrings recently. I love it. The solitaire is .50/E/VS2 and is set in a very simple four-prong setting. I often pair it with my 2mm band for a simpler look.

Let me see if I can find some pics of before and after......

Sheesh....sorry for the multiple posts. I don''t have any hand shots of the three-stone; and I haven''t done any of the earrings yet, but maybe I will just so I can post them

Not really. I find that I''ve worn the solitaire more since it''s been reset - although DH got me the three stone while we were dating as a sort of "promise ring" so I wore it a lot before we got engaged. Plus, I
