Anyone ever read the first pages of the Rocky Talk thread?

Also, found links to the original PS site tucked away. As far as I can tell, this is the first page on PS:

Just spent about 30 minutes reading some old threads etc. It's amazing how far this site and the online diamond industry have come...

Wow, I didn't realize PS was so old.
In the year 1900 PS must have been one of the very first websites.

And Leonid the administrator only posted 40 times in 100 years.
Posters must have been well-behaved back then.

That is pretty amazing! One thread I was reading was talking about very loose cut grades from AGS. I am now wondering if that isn't the reason GIA is still preferred/trusted by more people sending diamonds for grading since maybe the early AGS grading was too loose on cut. That is funny since now we perceive that GIA is the looser of the two on cut grading.

Hey, do you suppose this is an example of Y2K date issues??? Should have been 2000? This is the first one I've seen; I just thought Y2K was an overblown nothing, kinda like Geraldo opening Al Capone's (empty) vault on live tv. . . nuttin' to it!
