Anyone else coulrophobic?

We have a friend who has a huge fear of clowns. His wife had to give away some hanging mobiles for the baby''s cot, as it had clowns on it. We were going to get their bubba a shirt that read "Can''t sleep, clowns will eat me" and his wife laughed and said even reading that would set her hubby off. Until then, I never knew people could have a fear of clowns... (I have a fear of driving over bridges with water underneath.)

Oh, did anyone else see that USPS commercial a few months ago with the family who was terrified of the clown doll they''d gotten as a gift and wanted to send it back? The USPS guy says "it''s not that bad," then looks down and the clown has moved across the room, and he says "yeah, that''s got to go." I TOTALLY jumped the first time I saw it, and even though I thought the commercial was really creepy, it was kind of hilarious, too. Obviously USPS was aiming for an audience like all of us!

YES! i kind of freaked out the first time i saw it, but i agree that it was hysterical at the same time.

another commercial is the Etrade baby one. he talks about how he rented a clown (Bobo) with the extra money he made, and then says "but i under-estimated the creepiness...". i love it! you also can''t see the clown''s face either so that is a HUGE plus.

Clowns have ALWAYS creeped me out. I would cry when my parents took me to the circus.
