Wedding Anybody know an affordable Indiana reception site?

I have a very low budget and I''m looking for something cheap but classy for about 50 ppl tops. I''m stuck between a regular reception or a simple champagne and cake thing with maybe catered appetizers. I''d love to use the Valparaiso University chapel and/or library.

Anyone use them or have another suggestion? I''d like something around Valparaiso/Crown Point area.

Wow! I was born in Crown Point and grew up in Valparaiso!!!

You mentioned VU. Have you already looked into pricing there yet? That would be really nice. I''ve been to a wedding at the Strongbow Inn that was really lovely. Do you want indoor or outdoor?

Indoor. I haven''t checked prices for VU yet but I''m thinking either a fancy schpancy champagne and cake reception at the chapel or the Christopher Center, or Avalon Manor for a regular reception. Strongbow is way way out of my budget. I grew up in Hebron but still can''t come up with a reasonable alternative. I''m so confused!
