Any STL people interested in a GTG?

I doubt I'd be able to make a get together -- swamped with work, family-hood, studying for a big board exam coming up --

but it's nice to know there are other PS'ers in the area!!

So with October fast approaching, do we know when this event is exactly? I tried googling, but no luck. Also, is it okay if non-Infinity owners come? I'd really love to go!

Yes it is usually ok. I haven't gotten any info about it yet, but I am also REALLY booked up in October so I am a maybe anyway. Id love to go to another one, though, and hopefully meet some other locals.

Nope, there isn't a MTC scheduled for this October. I think there may have been confusion on the new Crafted by Infinity website. Paul has last years events posted as an example of the cities he visits when in the U.S. (or their having a party and I'm not invited)

However...I am hosting a George Jensen Trunk show this Thursday, October 4th, 5-8 pm and Friday, October 5th, 10-6. Whatever arangements you guys want to make as far as a St. Louis GTG you could start here. (Ok to take a peek at an Infinity too!)

Thursday evening serving Champagne...will have the deck open upstairs....hope to see everyone.

Thanks very much for the information and the alternative GTG plan suggestion, Jim. I guess we'll see if anyone else chimes in. I will try to stop by for a look at the trunk show, and to catch a glimpse or two of an Infinity while I'm at it.

I would love to have GTG! I missed the trunk show Jim, do you have any other events coming up?

I should be free most weekend days between now and Thanksgiving with right now only two exceptions. We could go on a Saturday maybe to Jim's shop, have a lunch and maybe then to Frontenac which isn't too far from jim's shop and visit Tiffs maybe. then again, who really wants to hit up Tiffs when Jim's shop is small and fun. And if John and or Paul are in town...woohoo!

John Pollard is actually in my store right now. He came to do business with me, but also because the school where he used to teach from Texas has a marching band involved in an event at the Edward Jones Dome tomorrow. With that and the Cards playoffs game going on there are a lot of visitors in town this weekend....

Jim alerted me to the thread... Hello people of STL! I really enjoy your wonderful city, with special mention of the Dewey's in Kirkwood.

I didn't know about the GTG or I'd have baked a cake.

Jim is correct: While I'm here to interact with him on business I also continue to volunteer with the L.D. Bell High School Band from Hurst TX, where I was an instructor for many years.

So here is a little sidebar for any STL music lovers: We are competing in the Bands Of America SuperRegional at the Edward Jones Dome tomorrow.

L.D. Bell performs in prelims at 2:30 PM. The finals begin at 7:15.

I don't want you to feel like you need to like...entertain us, and obviously with the Cards clinching tonight, you guys could be hungover tomorrow and that wouldn't be totally helpful either HAHAH!

Last night my wife and I went for a peek at the band competition...really just to see John's old school perform, but ended up staying well into the competition before we had to go. These kids are unbelievable! You have to see something like this live to get how good these bands are.
How did your kids do John?

Ella, I just want to make sure it's known that he's not soliciting it, *I* actually started it,so he's not getting into trouble, and made sure he was aware of it on here so that he wasn't descended upon by a bunch of bling hungry crazypeople (well, crazyperson singular, me, whom he knows to be rabid and insane) all the sudden one day!

I intended that we would either start there or end there, and planned for it to hopefully occur when John was in town. In part, so we could all go to Deweys. For selfish reasons mostly.

Hey all! So do we know when John would be in town next? I wouldn't have have been able to make it yesterday anyway - I forgot we had tickets to Les Mis at The Fox.

I would love to plan something for Jim's shop, T&Co and maybe a shop in Clayton, too. I used to work at a spa in Frotenac and now I'm in Kirkwood, so I'm definitely familiar and with Dewey's and fully agree with hitting there, too!

Maybe once we have a better idea of when we can get together, we can get a thread started in the GTG forum.
