I cannot stand Nancy Grace.
She annoys me.

John Stewart is another one I find too annoying to watch.

They both seem cocky and snotty.
They seem to try to get you all emotionally worked up and angry about something, instead of just rationally examining the facts.

They make me feel like I'm reading something that the National Enquirer would find unfit to publish.

I have a hard time listening to Greta Van Sustren.

John Stewart is satire. It is not meant to be a "rational examination of the facts". That is a bit of the point of it. That is why it plays on the Comedy Network.

Nancy Grace is not on the other hand satire. She just gets emotionally worked up and angry.

I know John Stewart's satire.
He could be a comedian or a professor or anything that has to talk.

That does not prevent him from annoying me.

Oh, also... Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Ha, too many to list! My least favorites are probably Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Howard Stern.

DITTO! I hate her voice, her face, and every stupid word that comes out of her mouth.

OPRAH!!!!!!! grrrrrr

That''s the only one I can think of off of the top of my head.

No I know. I am not saying he should not annoy you! Just commenting that you can''t expect a *rational examination of the facts" from someone who''s whole show is a lampoon of politics and particularly how the media portrays politics.

I find him funny personally - I don''t feel like he tries to get people angry. I particularly like when he pokes fun of us Canadians. But that does not mean I expect you not to be annoyed by him, ha.

Sorry my reasons are flawed.

I can''t watch the guy - no reason.

There are quite a few media personalities or media figures (heck even just "media") I feel irritated by for various reasons. Hence, I don't watch a whole lot of TV. It is just easier that way. I don't like feeling irritated in the comfort of my own home.

I don't watch any TV.

From time to time people will post a Youtube video of Stewart and online CNN will have a story I'm interested, but if Nancy Grace is on I have to quickly stop the video.

I did not even know Stewart was on a comedy channel.

Howard Stern is disgusting and demeaning towards women.

I turn down the volume when she's on...

I just can't listen to her....

I''ve only seen Nancy Grace a couple times-videos on cnn.com and I''ve liked her b/c she was freaking out about pieces of crap who killed their kids or were suspected of it. That''s my only experience watching her tho.

Is that Hasselbeck the one they used to make fun of on SNL? Cherie O''teri would be Barbara Walters and yell "Get back in your cage!" is that her?

Stewart is broadcast on the The Comedy Network. At least for me up here. I can''t get him on any other channel. Followed by the Colbert Report.

Ditto. And I have no real valid reason for disliking her except I think she''s self-righteous. Even that is probably negated by the fact that she''s done some pretty righteous things. But still....

Exactly. Sure, she has done a lot of good, but I can''t stand the whole "I am Oprah and am therefore right" attitude and the fact that people condone it!

One of the few episodes I saw that stood out was when she visited a really poor neighbourhood in Chicago where people were making in a month, far less than what her diamond pinky ring costs! I know she gives back but...come on, do audience members really need a new car?! Does she really need so many houses?
I feel as though SUCH super wealthy people that are "do-gooders" don''t need to live off of MULTI-millions of dollars and can afford to donate WAY more money and still be wealthy. Look at Bill Gates, not millions but BILLIONS of his money has been donated!

I kind of, sort of, agree with you. I certainly find the whole style of her show to be sensationalist and not very appealing. Fortunately, because I frequent Websleuths website, most of the information Nancy has on her show has either been verified or de-bunked way earlier in the day.

That said, for some reason Nancy's show is hugely popular. Because of that, she is able to highlight and promote awareness about extremely serious crimes perpetrated against children and against women. That cannot be a bad thing.

I feel sure someone will pipe up and say that shows like Nancy's and Jane Velez-Mitchell's only highlight crimes against perceived middle-class, white, women and children. I think that's a view that may have merit, but that's a subject for a whole different thread.

I grant you, I can't watch Nancy for long. Mr Gailey, bless him, who would sleep through a hurricane, has been known to awaken in such a state of shock from a deep sleep when I flip channels late at night to check out the subject matter on Nancy Grace.

Now Anderson Cooper, the Silver Fox, now he's a whole different story. How do you feel about him Kenny? I could watch him while the paint dries!

There are lots, but lately I really cannot stand Oprah. I feel like most of the stuff she promotes is new age hogwash crap and I don''t like how she promotes people who don''t deserve it (and then they become rich and famous - Rachael Ray anyone?). I didn''t use to dislike her, but I dislike her more as time goes on.

Also, Ryan Seacrest. I pretty much only hear him on the radio occasionally, I don''t watch any show that he''s on, and he''s pretty annoying. He spends the whole radio show name dropping and talking about how he''s invited to such A list events, but now actually giving any of the interesting details of the events.

Oh, and everyone on Fox News.

All of these plus Whoopi, Meredith Viera, Al Roker. Anyone who is too opinionated to present facts.

Once I heard that Nancy Grace''s fiance was murdered in college, she became slightly more tolerable, in the sense that I could at least understand why she is so passionate. I agree that she highlights some serious crimes, which is definitely admirable. That being said, I can only take her show for about two minutes! She is just too much. She interrupts her guests all the time, which I find to be really annoying. (Then again, if I were getting paid as much as she is, I would be screaming at people all day, too).

I have to agree with you about Anderson Cooper. He is just great.

Agreed on most of the above but Oprah doesn''t bother me. Or Ryan Seacrest.

Well I don''t really care if they''re opinionated since they all are "personalities" and not real news anchors. (Although in Beck''s case, the line between opinion and news on Fox News is so blurred, people probably do think he''s presenting facts.

) I just think they''re all disgusting human beings!

Ann Coulter. That woman can only be described as a word I make sure never passes my lips.

Elisabeth Hasselback.....She isn''t the one that they used to make fun of on SNL--with the getting in a cage thing or in a bag with a raccoon. She replaced the replacement of her though..haha! And she is definitely on my list.

As is Ann Coulter.
