Anyone have a couple of million bucks for this?

WOW!!! What a gorgeous diamond. Mrs. Annenberg had some pretty amazing jewels, that''s for sure. She was also such a wonderful woman and was the mainstay of some organizations that are dear to my heart...we miss her very much. I''m happy that her family is donating the proceeds from the diamond, I just wish they said where the money will be going...hopefully to one of her favored causes.

I shouldn''t have looked. Some millionaire is going to buy that for a woman that will not know enough to appreciate it.

Beautiful stone, gorgeous rings. How gracious of her family. Kinda funny when you think about a 90 year old woman going out and shopping for some
new bling. Maybe when you are that wealthy, it seems normal.

since the proceeds are going to charity, I wonder if you could write the purchase off of your taxes!?

I like Liz Taylor''s diamond a bit better. It''s 33.19 carats, D color. I''ve seen it in person twice, and the pictures don''t do it justice.

Another pic of Liz''s diamond (it was originally known as the Krupp diamond).

I had the same thought. They would make a fantastic pair of dangle earrings.

What a beautiful ring! Maybe if I win the lottery...hmmmm.....

I don't think the pair of pears go with the emerald cut.

Otherwise I'd buy it. . . . . . . not.

MB where did you see Liz's bling? Enquiring minds want to know.

Hi, Kenny and Jewlerman! The first time I saw Liz''s ring was several years ago at a special exhibit on diamonds at the Natural History Museum in NYC . A lot of celebrities and famous jewelers loaned things to the museum for that exhibit. The second time I saw it was at Christie''s when Liz was selling some of her other jewelry. She often loans her things to special exhibits.

actually this is one piece that i would really like to see in person! This and the Taylor Burton.I was lucky enough to see the Hope while on Vacation(I was actually asked by security to leave the building that housed the Hope because I wandered around its display case for about 45 minutes. The guard told me I could come back in after I left when i told him i was in the jewelry trade)!
