Animal Rescue Organizations around Los Angeles?

I am going to start contributing to a rescue organization, but I''m having a hard time finding one in the Pasadena/ San Gabriel Valley area in L.A... Anyone got any suggestions? My local shelter kills, and I''m DEFINITELY NOT giving to them. Please help!

i already contribute to the National Humane Society, but wanted to contribute locally as well... and realized that i couldn''t find one!

I contribute to the LASPCA which is no kill. I also heard that the Burbank animal shelter is no kill, but I can''t confirm that. I do know that they are very active in trying to place animals.
