I don't know if I'm crazy or weird with this idea, but did anyone out there use their engagement ring as a wedding ring as well? I don't have much ring space on my ring finger before my knuckle, so I don't think I'll be able to comfortably wear 2 rings at the same time, even if they have thin bands. My ering will be the one that I know I'll wear everyday and so I kind of feel like it's a waste of money to buy a wedding ring as well. I've been considering giving my ering to the ring bearer or my FI before the wedding and just using that as my "wedding ring" during the ceremony. So I just don't see the point of having 2 rings when I'll only wear one.

Am I alone on this? Did anyone else go this route? My FFI thinks I'm crazy to not want a wedding ring

MY mom got remarried and had a custom ring made. she was not into the engagement ring idea so she had 5 .65 ct stones channel set and she wore that as her engagement/wedding band... that ring has since been broken apart and now she has 4 of those stones in a necklace and 1 of them in an antique ring. she loved her ring and it certainly name a statement!

My friend did that, although she has really long fingers! She just decided that she only wanted to wear her engagement ring as her wedding ring as well. I have the same problem as you, having short fingers, but I opted to wear both rings. However, I like the option of wearing a pretty wedding band alone (since I have a halo''d e-ring), on days when I don''t want to seem too flashy. I think you should do whatever makes you most comfortable.

I have a large, north south ring, because I have very longer fingers so none would work anyway. Besides, I look a really delicate look and the stack of the two rings would have been too chunky to me.

Actually, when I was growing up I thought the norm was to move the engagement ring to the right hand and wear the wedding ring on the left.
Also, when I was teaching one of my students saw my ering and asked if I was married, so I think having the ring only is perfectly fine.

I only wear one ring, but it''s an Edwardian 5 stone ring, 1ctw. I''m not very traditional or superstitious in any way, but I wouldn''t have wanted to be wearing my wedding ring before the ceremony, so I never wore it as an engagement ring.
