Amazing birth photos--NSFW

There's a lot of raw emotion coming through the photos, and they've convinced me that I will only have a baby if I have a surrogate or adopt.

FWIW, I couldn't bring myself to click the link.
I'm over the top squeamish about medical stuff, blood, etc.
I wish I wasn't because I love good photography.

I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying!

 You guys crack me up!

Step out of your comfort zone, Kenny, and grab a puke bucket. You will be glad you did, I promise. There is even some GOOD BLING involved!

Lol, I noticed the bling too.

Those pics are amazing, thanks for posting!

Really interesting! The woman in labor never gets to see any of this.

Kenny, don't be a wimp.
You can handle this!!

Okay Monnie, it's almost 5 PM here.
Fortified by 2 protective glasses of wine I braced myself and went to the link.
I got through only the second of 12 pages, then had to stop.

Too gross for me. :knockout: ... but keep in mind I have no kids so I don't share that whole emotional connectedness thing with childbirth like you moms.
These pics are about as heartwarming as high-resolution pics of some stranger's surgery. :knockout:
I also share no religious/spiritual anything when it comes to reproduction.
Humans happen because orgasms feel good, and DNA uses humans to make more DNA, as it does with all animals and plants.
Big whoop.

I see childbirth as a medical procedure involving excruciating pain and lots of bodily fluids that produce a shrivelled up prune that won't be cute for a long long time.
Even then they cry/shit/annoy etc. for about 25 years till they leave you alone ... well, that is if you managed to make a good one. :wink2:

No thanks, but sincerely, thanks for posting what clearly is very touching for many.

I gave it the old college try.
I guess people just vary.

Kenny, thanks for trying!

Hormones are craaaaaaazy chemicals. They make you want to go through all that, survive it, and want to do it again.

I think people are nothing more than DNA's way of making more DNA.

I'd make a terrible religious person.

That makes two of us. I never could stop questioning things and just do that blind fath stuff. Oh, and one time a priest told me that "women's studies can be dangerous." The only think I know FOR SURE is that I don't know ANYTHING for sure.

That makes you the smartest person here.

You don't have to knock on the doors of strangers, or fly commercial jets into buildings to compensate for insecurity about what's trying to prevail in your head.

Nooooooooo, once was more than enough for me :o

I'm squeamish too, but I checked out the first three pages. Man, the first photo wasn't easy, with the cord and placenta. Gulp. But I like the emotion of the other photos. There were two where you had to click an extra time especially to say that you were a mature adult, and I guessed that those photos must be really gory, so I didn't click on those.

I love the image of Kenny fortifying himself with wine before having a go!

Jambalaya, you are very brave! :appl:

These were really interesting, thanks for sharing!

I saw my oldest nephew being born when I was 11. cemented the fact that I would never have children after seeing that up close and personal  And I'm sure at that age I blanked a lot of stuff out.. but, I would not have missed that for anything in the world. I feel honored my sister chose me to be in the room with her.

Amazing photos! Thank you Monnie! I didn't think the photos were too squeamish either. Wondrous and beautiful and I am sharing with my friends. Thank you so much for sharing this here.
