It''s inevitable...by the end of summer I always have a farmer''s tan. I wear high SPF sunscreen yet still it happens. I''m concerned about looking like a doofus in my spagetti-strapped wedding dress with my forearms being darker than the rest of my body. To rectify, I''ve been thinking about going in for a Mystic Tan a day or two beforehand. Does anyone have any experience with the spray-on tans? Will it even me out without making my arms even darker?

I got a really hideous burn a bit over a month ago while wearing a tank top. After the peeling stopped I went tanning to try and even it out. It made it a little better, but I still have a line which is going to be very visible in my strapless dress

. I even tried putting spf 50 on the parts that were darker and tanning lotion on the lighter parts to even it out but it didn''t work.

Maybe they''d be able to do it better with a spray on tan. I''d definitely try it out well in advance of the wedding though. And make sure it doesn''t rub off on white at all when you sweat! I''ve heard it can rub off a bit sometimes.

i would be very careful about mystic tan if you''ve never used it before. if you haven''t, i''d suggest a trial run to make sure you like the results and that it doesn''t turn your beautiful dress brown.

Also, mystic tan has this nasty smell to it that sticks around for a few days.. The only person who doesn''t seem to smell it is the one who is wearing it!

Definately try it out a before the wedding, give it enough time to fade (just in case)!
I think it is a good option, but not if it is the first time you''ve tried it. I know if there are just a few tan lines you (or your makeup artist) can usually blend the lines away with a bronzer.
Good luck

Thanks for the feedback, Ladies! I appreciate it!

I don''t really have tan lines per se. It''s just that while my forearms are fairly tan from being out and about my shoulders are bone white. I''m naturally very fair, so I try to stay away from tanning of any sort normally. But, my forearms inevitably end up tanned.

I was super careful before my wedding not to get any sort of tan lines! Fortunately, I live basically in the hospital and it was not that difficult

I''m not really sure about a good fix though- maybe try one of the sunless tanners rather than the mystic tan thing? It would be easier to play around with it a bit and see what you can do to make it less noticeable.

I just tried Mystic twice. I was thinking it would be a good UV free alternative to the semi tan lines that I have now. Overall, I would say that I am happy with how it looks the day after I go, but it doesn''t last long. It starts to wear off quickly, and since it basically makes your skin turn dark, any skin cells that rub off on clothes/sheets are tan. I try to avoid wearing a white bra because it can get a little brown in places. The brown color does wash out thought. About the smell, I do notice it slightly. FI hasn''t said anything about the smell, but I''m convinced he doesn''t have the most sensitive nose.

One thing that I am not happy about is that it didn''t really do much to get rid of the slight tan line I have from wearing my halter top swim suit. It made my tan skin darker even though it made me a little darker everywhere else.

I think for my wedding I am going to tan a few times in a regular tanning booth. I know it is really bad for me, but that way I can try to even out the tan lines a little bit.

I still have two Mystics that I bought with my trial package and I plan to use them for two upcoming weddings that I am in. I think they make me look good, even though it really only lasts for one day.

Sorry if this post is too long or confusing.
