YES! I love the alot! My friend Jen showed me that post last summer and I think it's freaking hilarious, and I probably read it once a month.

"im an eagle and im typing with my talons, so dont make fun of me cuz this is hard"

Heheheheehehehe

... aaaaaaaaand that totally made me happier about the world! Seriously, I was already copy-editing the header - thanks for themorning giggle! Now the Alot will become a daily part of my mental imaginings. :rodent:

(I wonder if we can get a little Alot smiley ....)

We definitely need an Alot smiley!

Ah, the little things that amuse me. :)

Have you read her other posts? Her sense of humour is right up my alley, and I'm almost always on the floor laughing. I especially like "Dogs Don't Understand Simple Concepts Like Moving" and the one about the goose attack.

OMG but you HAVE to read both "challenged dog" stories together, and in chronological order. I read it aloud to my mom and we laughed til there was almost an accident.

That was pure genius.

And yes, I want an alot smiley too. ASAP.

AGREED! They crack me up. Actually, I think I'll read them again riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.......now.

I posted this on my FB page a few weeks ago because I love it so much. I cannot say "a lot" without thinking of her alot illustration in my head. My friend sent me the link to the dog moving post (the one Princesss referenced) and I think I read it 5 times...then spent the next week reading all of her blog posts in my spare time. I joke that she's my soul mate.

The dog posts were fantastic!

I think she's my soul mate too NEL, we might be fighting for her.

Hilarious!

I recently read (as I was stalking her) that she got engaged to Duncan. I think she has a sapphire e-ring. I think I was more excited to hear about her engagement than a lot (hehe) of my friends' engagements. I talk about her at home like she's my friend--just this weekend we ordered a cake for a party we were having and I literally said out loud "My friend wrote this really funny blog post called 'God of Cake' ". The funny part was that D knew exactly who I was talking about and said "NEL, Ally is not your friend, you've never met her...you just stalk her". What a spoilsport.

OMG - Princess, you are 100% pure evil. I am sitting in a very boring meeting, thought I'd check up on this thread, went to the dog post and ended up laughing so hard hot tea squirted out my nose.

Not a very professional look, especially not while trying to impress funders.

Ah, I think I am in love. Back off, NEL and DF, she's MINE!

*evil girn*

NEL, I do the same thing! And I love God of Cake - I crack up every time I read it. And I'm so glad to hear they're engaged! Now she needs to get working on the blog, again, though - The Scariest Story came out weeks ago!

I've read the post about the Alot quite a while ago but never looked at the other entries. OMG, effing hilarious! I love the pics of the simple-minded dog. That makes me lol. Also LOVE the post about the spiders. That's EXACTLY how I feel.

eta~ OMG, read about the fish. roflmao, seriously, tears are streaming here.

I LOVE THIS WEBSITE! Thank you so much for linking to it. I stumbled on it ages ago, and since lost it.

Fabulous! I was already feeling twitchy at the subject line!

I don't know if the Ronald Searle books are popular in the USA - he wrote the original St Trinian's stories and did the illustrations. He also did a series of wonderful books on boy's schools. In one he had a picture of a 'Gerund' - sadly it meant that to this day I don't know what a gerund is other than an animal that rather resembled a Moomin!

I'm adding an Alot to my personal amusement stash!

My personal hate on PS at the moment is the number of people who insist on spelling 'brooch' as 'broach'. A few years back there was also a guy who kept talking about 'rose pedals' - I had to say something in the end.

I'm pretty tolerant of obvious typos or grammatical areas where it's obvious the person hasn't had time to read through afterwards, but continual repeats of errors make me wince. Text speak is way beyond my capabilities as is complete lack of any punctuation - I suppose it's just going back to Ancient Rome... they didn't punctuate either!

Cutest monster ever!

I'm so glad I haven't been the only one obsessing about that blog since ksinger posted it in LGK's thread about the cats! It's so funny! Her writing style is just amazing, she cracks me up :)

I tried to get FI to read it, and he said it was too long :nono: :nono: but it was pretty funny. But, I love it! I've gone back through and read every single one of them. I think God of Cake, and the ones about the the dogs are my favorite. Plus, the goose. I was kinda convinced that one was made-up, but the video was just so funny!

hee hee I LOVE IT!!

I just read the dog one...

Wait, this is a blog, are our links going to get deleted??

I saw that a few months ago (and haven't looked at the site recently - I should do that!!) and thought that it would be ALOT of fun to have an ALOT t-shirt :)

In all the time that I've followed her on blogger, I never noticed the store. Now I simply MUST have an Alot shirt!!!

Ohmygod The FISH ONE! FANTASTIC! I want to send it to everyone I know lol!

Oh dear. I shouldn't have looked at the store.

LOL! Alot of beer cans

Loved the simple dog one in hangout a couple of days ago.. going to have to find the other one tonight!

I used to read her blog and just stopped for whatever reason. Great to read another hilarious post of hers. :appl: :appl: :appl:

I read it in an article first, but then saw their engagement photo on Twitter (http://twitpic.com/33qy6n)

I also love the term "clean all the things" and now use it regularly.

I just want to share that I had a HORRIBLE experience at work this afternoon, came back to my office, shut my door, and prepared to cry. Then I pulled up this blog, instead, and everything was better.
