all diamonds different?

This may be a stupid question, as I''m no expert. But I thought no one diamond is the same as another. I have been looking on the net at different diamond sites though and have found numerous sites selling the exact same diamond, as the GIA certificate is the same.
Any info?

Many websites list "virtual" inventories, which means they don''t have the actual diamond in stock. They list all the available diamonds from the cutter or cutters that they use. In many cases these are drop-shipped directly from the cutter to you and never even goes through the company you are "purchasing" it from...
