Hello
I wanted to say hello to everyone that I used to know. LOL Wow, many many changes here at PS and this new format is taking quite a lot to get used to. I think I've read its PS 2.0? I have been back reading the posts and getting refamiliarized with how things are here and what everyone has been up to.
As an update....I am still in Toronto working like a busy bee. I am now divorced and quite enjoying my single statue. Its more fun when the roller coaster ends than being on it year after year after year. To all of those newly engaged on the site...congratulations. Love is grand if its with the right person.
And everyone should at least be married once. Bahahahaha....
Whats prompted me to return...apart from the great pics & posts...and incredibly informative people, its the passion that PS members have for all things jewellry related.
Plus...I am considering upgrading/changing my stone to something else..just dont know what that is yet. I did upgrade my 1.55 G SI-1 I originally had (and kept) to a 2.46 VVSI-1, J with Moder.Fluor. And since I'm not dead yet, or plan on it for some time (JUST turned 46 on Feb.17th..LOL), do want to enjoy my jewellry till I can not any longer. Any ideas you guys might have to what I should do with that stone? Here are my thoughts....
1. Trade it up for better color, even at same weight
2. Trade it up for a completely different shape, maybe Oval
3. Trade it in for a yellow radiant (love yellow stones)
4. Keep it and put it into a new 3 or 5 stone setting. Yssie setting from DBL is absolutely divine.
** I do have a neice and nephew that will inherit all my jewelry once I AM ready to kick the bucket, but as I said, I'm not ready to do that yet. LOL
And please explain the interest in vintage diamonds. I was very surprised to see the interest in them. When I was here, oh, back about 5-6 yrs ago...not that many were into vintage gems. I was looking at them with interest. But dont think I want to trade in my 2.46 RB for one of em.
Also wanted to add that I still have that 1.55 SI-1 G stone so I could essentially use that for a 3-5 stone setting and do something entirely different with my 2.46.
The possiblilities are endlesss!
Have a great weekend, just wanted to say hello.
