1. It's poorly designed

2. It doesn't seem to get too much traffic, either: website traffic report

3. Some association with scam? Link 1 or Google "affluence.org scam"

It may well be a legitimate social network, but seeing how it's not the most happening place anyway, I'd probably pass.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was kinda strange. I don''t recognize the person that invited me. Maybe he spammed me an email invite because you can qualify to join if you get 5 qualified people to join. LOL!

Where I come from, the wealthy are a tight [albeit international] community. You meet each other through the club, regattas, parties, fund raisers, art openings and the like. I could not imagine anybody giving income and net worth info to qualify to join a site!

Very strange!

Well, I suspect many of the richest people find a way to pay little in tax.

We all need to play it safe. Don''t accept invitations to anything from people you don''t know and never click on a link in an e-mail unless it came from someone you know.
