Like we didn't have three cats already but I had to have another tortoiseshell..I have a fondness for them since our first cat together was a stray tortoiseshell and she was the bestest kittah ever.
We played at the shelter today for almost an hour. If they were closer I'd go there often just to see the kitties. Had to change my clothes when I got home, I was so covered in cat hair I looked like I should've been meowing.
She's very sweet, did fine in the truck on the way home. She's spent most of the day hiding under the couch. She did come out from under so I could wedge my head between the arm of it and the wall and lean down to pet her, and she rolled on her back so I could scratch her tummy. She purrs like a normal cat, which is strange to me, since Bella trilled/cooed and Britta now does the trill/coo and seriously is loud enough she sounds like a whole flock of pigeons.
Chucknorris isn't sure what to think..he isn't bothered by her, but it's like he is uncertain if he should be her friend since Opilio hisses at her. Britta hisses and sounds ticked off, but neither of the females have swatted at her. And she just kinda sits there, doesn't hiss or spit back, she looks like the new girl at school, by herself in the corner. She is currently under our bed, judging by the fact that Chucknorris is hunkered down, staring intently underneath.
No pics of my own yet, since she's hiding, but maybe tomorrow. This is from the website http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/17352094
As of right now, her name is Clementine Elspeth, and I'm sure JD will be calling her Clem. Once he gets past the irritation of my bringing home another kitty.
