The time is now 10pm, do you know where your dishwasher is? YES, sitting in my living room because my husband decided that we''d save a whopping $75 and he''d do it himself

I figured, hey, I got the dishwasher I wanted and the ring I wanted but now I''ve been dragged into this dishwasher thing because I''m Mrs. fix-it and half the time he has no clue. GRRRRR. I want my bed

I don''t envy you.
We are DIYers but had our new dishwasher installed
and it took them half a day to make it fit and work properly.
Well worth the $50 charge.

DH gave up last night as we bought all the longest possiible hoses from Lowes and they''re still too short. Now he''s okay with calling in a pro.

That is typical in my family. DH thinks he can do anything. For the most part he is incredibly handy, however he has no idea how to do things properly until after he has royally screwed it up. My poor MIL decided to redo her kitchen. Floor to ceiling. Her refrigerator sat in her dining room for about 4 months. I felt so bad for her. I know that DH would have taken on the task of installing a dishwasher. I would have had faith on that one too. I must say though that I would never let it go and insist that all appliances be delivered and installed from that point forth. You poor thing. I was kinda hoping that you would have attached a pic of the dishwasher next to your sofa.

Could be worse. . .at least all you have to do is hand wash your dishes. What if it was your washer or dryer. . .then you''d be hauling everything to the laundry mat!

Hope your DH fixes it quickly.

LOL! The guy had to use some extra pieces to put two hoses together so it would reach under the sink where the hook up is at. FYI if you do want to DIY Whirlpool dishwashers have different copper fixtures then other ones. Now the old dishwasher is hanging out in the dining room. Luckly our garbage guys will take almost anything

Now I can't wait to find a new stove

oh, and DH is not allowed EVER to touch my clothes or the white towels. His idea of laundry in to throw everything in, turn it on hot, super wash, add who knows how much soap and press start

eta: it took the pro 1/2 an hour

My Dh isn''t allowed to do my laundry either. I had a super soft cream blanket my mom gave to me and my DH put it in the wash with a brand new blue waffle weave blanket and ruined my cream one. Ugh.
