As someone who just had a titanium implant yanked out of the front of her face (imagine wisdom tooth pain, but worse, in the front of your face), you have my sympathies. It''ll be OK. The swelling WILL go down. Take drugs.![]()

Ooh, losing 10 pounds sounds nice. Sweet potatoes you say... Haha. I''m 27 and so people have been making fun of me saying things like "what? You''re wisdom teeth? I got mine out in High School!." Maybe this is TMI, but I''ve finally got some better health insurance this year, so I''m taking care of all the things I should have done in the past few years. A month ago I had a colonoscopy. My friends think I''m some weird medical oddity. Too young for a colonoscopy and too old for wisdom teeth. Oh well.Date: 6/12/2009 2:17:20 PM

I know there are tons of wisdom tooth horror stories, but seriously... mine was so easy. I was so freaked out beforehand because of all the awful stories I''d heard.
I got them when I was older (25) which is supposed to make it worse. I had little to no pain, had no dry socket and no (ok maybe a tiny tiny bit of) swelling. I just took my Tylenol 3''s when I felt a little pain, and never suffered. I made sure not to move too fast. A lot of people don''t take their time healing and have problems. I lived on sweet potatoes for 5 days and it was great. Lost 10 pounds.![]()
