I''m getting my wisdom teeth out in the morning. I''m a wee bit nervous.

Feel free to throw any extra dust you may have my way.

You''ll be just fine, sending dust your way.... Good luck!!!

you''ll be alright... dust your way

As someone who just had a titanium implant yanked out of the front of her face (imagine wisdom tooth pain, but worse, in the front of your face), you have my sympathies. It''ll be OK. The swelling WILL go down. Take drugs.

I hope you have a speedy recovery!

I hope everything went well. I don''t remember mine being too bad when I had them out under sedation at age 18. I lived on tapioca pudding for a couple days, but don''r remember the pain being bad enough to need tylenol #3s or anything. I think the swelling wasn''t so nice, but it all healed up quickly.
If you haven''t had them out yet, good luck, and I wish you great sedation and pain meds!

Well, I survived. I''m home now. My face is nice and numb and I just took some Vicodin and some Ibuprophen. Thanks for the dust!!!

Hoping I sleep the day away.....

Sending tons and tons of dust!

I know there are tons of wisdom tooth horror stories, but seriously... mine was so easy. I was so freaked out beforehand because of all the awful stories I''d heard.

I got them when I was older (25) which is supposed to make it worse. I had little to no pain, had no dry socket and no (ok maybe a tiny tiny bit of) swelling. I just took my Tylenol 3''s when I felt a little pain, and never suffered. I made sure not to move too fast. A lot of people don''t take their time healing and have problems. I lived on sweet potatoes for 5 days and it was great. Lost 10 pounds.

Dust for a speedy recovery. Get well soon!!! Just stay away from straws! FI is having the same procedure on Tuesday, so I''m all sorts of nervous.

Ooh, losing 10 pounds sounds nice. Sweet potatoes you say... Haha. I''m 27 and so people have been making fun of me saying things like "what? You''re wisdom teeth? I got mine out in High School!." Maybe this is TMI, but I''ve finally got some better health insurance this year, so I''m taking care of all the things I should have done in the past few years. A month ago I had a colonoscopy. My friends think I''m some weird medical oddity. Too young for a colonoscopy and too old for wisdom teeth. Oh well.

Again, thanks for the dust everyone! I think it''s helping!

I had a good experience (well, as good as it can be). Don''t be nervous. You''ll do great. Just be sure to prevent dry socket. My mom had that.
