It actually wasn't as terrible as I thought it would be. Sure, Christian was a controlling a$$, but I expected that. I have read (or at least started to read) so many badly written novels, that I was pretty surprised by all the bad reviews on this one. What did everyone think?

It was terrible, and even the sexy bits were bland and uninteresting. I found the characters unrealistic and unlikeable and the whole situation bizarre. I hope never to read such a badly written book again.

( I was raised on Newbery and Caldecott medal winning books though, so my reading bar is set pretty high in terms of what I expect from plot and characters.)

My MIL gave it to me to read and honestly I couldn't get past the first chapter. It was boring and corny. So I fast forwarded to the so called sexy bits and thought WTF? Seriously?? I don't know how it got so many followers. I just didn't get it.

I didn't understand why everyone was so hyped about it either! Apparently it has helped a ton of marriages?! I read some parts to my husband and he just laughed with me! It wasn't as bad as I expected and I was able to finish the book, but it won't be something I re-read and I can't understand how it has turned into this crazy phenomenon.
