My 30th anniversary is 6/5.. I gave my beautiful AVC to my son so my husband said, why don't you get a new ring so I am.
I spoke with Becca at Whiteflash last week and we exchanged emails and so I'm on the road to a trellis 3 stone ring. I'm thrilled. I really would love a AVR or Victor Canara round antique but at my age I felt I wanted something different than just a stone.

My plan is to take my enagement diamond out of it's setting and make that into a pendant, put a green tourmaline into the engagement ring setting.

I am having the trellis modified to have the 3 stones set more aligned not with the middle stone up a lot higher. I hope it will look a lot like the ring that is attached..

Due to arrive on 5/12 or so.. Can't wait!!!

Hola! yes I gave my beloved AVC to my son... my daughter-in-law loves it so I can't help but be happy. I love AVRs and AVCs. My bestie friend has a 3 stone ring and I have always loved hers so I decided to go this way.. I still want an AVR especially, but that will still have to wait. :)

Peace !

thanks Missy. I appreciate your kindness.

Peace!

To everyone THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I thought I would give the specs.

okay... I hemmed and hawed but went with platinum.. the ring has two .55 diamonds and the middle will be .70. not huge but I think will look good (great actually!).

the .70 is ACA
one of the .55 is ACA
the other .55 is Expert selection

All in G color

Becca (of Whitefire) picked the stones and she said the expert selection just missed ACA due to one of it's hearts being just a teeny bit off. I'm okay if she's okay with it. I have asked that all 3 stones be more level rather than the two on the side being lower.. they are going to raise up the 2 outside stones to give it a more linear look.. What do you guys think of that? I am going for more of a 3 stone ring, not an engagement ring with two lower side stones.. I hope it looks good, they will be sending me a CAD within 7 days of paying (yesterday).

Again thank you everyone for your kind words, and I am lucky..

Let me tell you a little diddy my husband said this morning: So I was joking and saying "I deserve this ring!" hubster say 'WHY!!" I said "I'm a good person".. so he says "So what"!! so I said "you have buyer's remorse!!!!!!" he said "NO I DON'T!! I HAVE DSS!!!" - ahhh. got this man trained after hanging out here with all you guys and learning the lingo.. Hubster is a great guy btw.

Peace!
and good vibes coming to all who have a holiday this time of year.

This made me laugh this morning! Just because my poor DH knows more about diamonds that he ever wanted or needed to. 30 years is indeed a testament to a great guy, who obviously made a great pick :)

Yes! my husband first learned about UPGRADING a STONE! as he said a year after we got married, my first stone was an D color oval 1.00 ct VS1, it had a YUGE bowtie.. after I wore it a while ugh... I hated the bowtie, so the guy we bought it from had an upgrade policy so I went back to the city and and bought the one I have now 1.61 I colored VVS2 stone.. and I have kept that one...(AGS 2 per my latest appraisal) my husband knows more than he ever wanted to know about diamonds I'm sure!

thank you for your very kind words siamese3, I appreciate them truly.. I am lucky I say it but I am.. always glad I found people like you and the rest of these great people and pricescope!

peace.

Congrats on your many years together and excited to see your new ring!

Congrats on 30 years! Sometimes I think about our own anniversary number and think 'whew, how the heck did that happen?'. Sometimes it seems like a minute, sometimes and eternity. LOL. Your new ring looks so beautiful! I can't wait to see it!

Just wanted to add my congrats, tekate!! And looking forward to the new bling.

Congrats, Kate. Your ring sounds beautiful.
My husband thinks diamonds are an investment, and I'm not educating him otherwise.

Ooo! New bling! Can't wait to see the completed piece!

And 30 years is impressive. I wish me and mine could have gotten ourselves together enough to be able to say that, but we did the 28 year courtship instead. (no, I'm about 90% not kidding in that last). I think our "courtship" is impressive too. (OK, in a slightly different way, but hey, I'll spin it however I need to, to get "impressive", right? ;) )
