Title pretty much says it all - not much time left! FI and I just got back today from a trip to Pittsburgh for our best man''s wedding. Brought back with us the big Crate and Barrel box (from the bridal shower his aunt threw for me last month) which didn''t fit in the car the last trip home. We inaugurated the decanter and wine glasses found inside by downing a bottle of 3-buck chuck Shiraz from Trader Joe''s (scoff all you want - the stuff has won awards). Needless to say, this post is being written by a tipsy if not drunk LadyC. Hopefully it results in something humorous and not completely pointless. Cheers! ....I digress.
Best Man''s wedding was wonderful - FI was the best man and gave a wonderful speech after much much much stress and nervousness. He later admitted to having at least 3 drinks in the limo beforehand. (I promise you we aren''t drunks...) Here''s hoping their honeymoon in the Bahamas isn''t wiped out by Hanna and that they make it back safe for our wedding in 2 weeks! (My thoughts are also with those about to deal w/ Gustav. Ugh.)
After seeing their wedding go off w/o a hitch, I think FI and I are finally relaxing and enjoying the days leading up to ours. Sure, I still have to finish the favors, programs and seating chart; call the DJ, florist and coordinator; pick up my dress in 2 days at my final fitting, and hope my shoes turned out ok after dyeing. BUT, the FMIL and FSIL are baking the cookies for the favors, the programs are printed just not assembled, the seating chart is MOSTLY done, and we actually have a final headcount. I think everything is actually going to turn out OK.
Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend as much as we are!
