Cleaning Cork Shoes?

I have the christian louboutin catenita''s and the cork on the heal and in the front near the peep toe is starting to look black. How do you go about cleaning cork? I am afraid of scrubbing it with any harsh chemicals, cause I''m afraid it would ruin the natural cork. Any ideas?? Thanks!
