I just went to the store to get some apples and yogurt. and im looken as its ringing up, and go 1.74 per apple!!! she was like something changed in the computer and they musta changed the price... and IM ike but $1.74 for ONE apple (I had 3 so it was liek 5.22 total for 3) and I am like i can buy a BAG for 6.44...WTH! So I just said ring them up and was walking out but then walked back in to look at the price again because I couldnt believe it and saw it said $1.74 per lb.. So i went to tell her they should change it so it wasnt misleading...and she fixed my purchase for me... and she said ya it just asks for quantity... Im like that just nuts $1.74 for one apple...geeez... I think it meant to put n the lbs and she just was doing it wrong or something, but they said they had been ringing people up like that....gahhh... sorry rant over...

even if its 1.74 per pound.. way to much!.I havent had an apple for ever because of the cost...I love a good green delisious with swiss cheese and a side of cinnimon yogart...mmmmm

The apples are $2.99/pd in my local stores. Cost a fortune. However, try buying produce in Japan. Last time I was there was some years back and some of the prices were outlandish. You can pay $100 for a melon. Yup, a cantalope. I was totally laughing when I saw this.

It isn''t apple season right now and where I live the apples are right around $3 per pound. At that price (or maybe more) I can imagine that they''d be costing that much! It seems that a lot of grocery stores are posting prices of their produce by the piece to fool consumers. Glad the check-out person changed it for you though.
