Repost: Hey gals! So I have good news and bad news.

Good news: Noel I think I might have discovered that first off it is allergies. I have been inside for the past two days..and feel MUCH better. So it MUST be allergies. Also! One of my friends said that construction does make asthma worse..and there''s construction across the street from the stairs. I feel a bit better about that now! I''ve lost the lbs I gained while at home! I got on the Wii fit today and weighed and I''m back down and actually to my lowest yet. I only have 9 lbs more to meet the goal I set in May!

Bad news: I discovered a very yummy cupcake place. I bought 2 cupcakes and a cookie. *bad sarah*

Noel that fire drill is hilarious, but I would have been really scared, too! I hope your flight went safely and have a good time in Singapore! Do you mind taking some pics? I''ve heard it''s beautiful! How was everyone''s weekend?

Bad news update which is good news: The cupcakes were yummy..but not my thing so I only ate half of each one which amounts to maybe a half of a big cupcake since they were small. The cookie on the otherhand..yum.

I feel out of touch, I have no idea what went on last week, but I''m glad you started this week''s thread!

I did my triathlon last weekend. FI kicked ass!! I''m so proud of him. I did okay. I told myself not to be disappointed if I got my same time because the 5K run was uphill, but I"m still disappointed. My bike broke down so I lost 5 mins or so there and I feel I could have really pushed myself more on the swim and run. But all in all I''m happy, I had fun and I''d definitely do this race again.

I finally weighed myself on my sister''s scale and I''ve gained weight!

I dunno how or why, I''ve been working out way more than I normally do, but honestly haven''t pushed myself enough. I think I might be eating too much and justifying it from with my work outs. So I''m going to split my attention between working out (doesn''t require as much focus anymore since I''ve gotten into a habit of it) and the amount I eat. I know I don''t eat unhealthy, but I think I just too much for what I need.
 
lliang: Hmm..maybe you''re eating too much, but maybe you''re gaining muscle as well! I know you''re in good shape, but you''ve been pushing yourself a lot lately and could be gaining more muscle. I am sorry things didn''t go as you had hoped!

Oh well, at least you did it and you finished. You did your best in spite of the issues and that''s what matters, right? Next time you''ll achieve your goal, don''t give up!

So here''s my issue. I am so hungry all of the time since I started doing stairs more.

I mean for lunch I have PB&J and chips or crackers and I am STILL hungry. For breakfast I usually have a bowl of cereal and water. Is it weird that I am so hungry? I mean..it seems like I am eating enough. Then come dinner I eat dinner..and I''m still hungry. And no I''m not pregnant. It''s just weird! Does this maybe mean my metabolism is up?

Yes it does mean your metabolism is probably up. I''ve been telling myself to drink water and wait 5-10 mins before I eat something else. If I''m still hungry then I''ll eat something. Granted this is just the first day I''ve been doing this so not sure if it''s going to work yet. Maybe we can try that together. Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. The more we work out, the hungrier we get.

Now that I think of it, this is how my mom got me to gain weight as a kid. I was a really skinny-scrawny underweight kid. The doctor told my mom to put my and my sister in sports to increase our appetite. It worked and we gained weight. Now I have to check my natural inclination to just eat more and see if I''m actually hungry or just a little slow to realize I''m not.

Today''s pretty good so far. I haven''t eaten a ridiculous amount of stuff. I had a hard boiled egg, no yolk & my usual 1+ cup of chai. Lunch was veggies & some lentils. I''m hoping to keep this habit for the next 2 wks, then hopefully, I''ll be able to control my munchies...

Unfortunately I don''t think I''m gaining muscle as well because my clothes aren''t getting any looser. But I do feel stronger because I can pick up my 40lb dog and hold her for a lot longer than I used to. Some people might ask why I''d pick up a 40lb dog in the first place, well, because she''s so gosh darn cute. :)

dogs! What do you plan on eating for lunch? I am thinking about having a personal cheese pizza form pizza hut. Not too bad I suppose.
 
Lunch today will probably be leftover dinner. Burger & lobster/shrimp "bisque" I made last night. I wanted to test drive a bisque I want to make for FI''s family.

They''re all coming up this weekend and on Sunday I''m going to make dinner for everyone. I have a ton of lobster stock, so I''m going to make a lobster bisque. I used more potatoes and less cream (a little healthy), but I think I put too many potatoes in because the potato taste is quite obvious. I''ll cut back on the potatoes, and use tomato paste instead of diced tomatoes, more saffron and shallots not leeks for the soup on Sunday. And fresh thyme. I''m on the fence on if I should put shrimp in the soup or just get lump lobster meat. I''ll probably just do the lobster and use the shrimp for an app. I hope FI''s family likes fish because for some reason I''m really itching to make it. Either cedar plank salmon or seared ahi.

Ouch!! I hate burns. I burned myself making f-reme brulees (fake creme brulees). Burned myself making a candy shell caramel topping since I was all out of brown sugar. A little bit of hot gooey caramel fell on my left hand causing a small but nasty burn. This was pre-engagement, and I joked around with FI saying, "If we ever get engaged, I''ll have to strategically place my left hand because it''s got cuts and burn scars all over it." Little did I know we were getting engaged soon! :)
