Hi everyone!! Thanks Noel for keeping things going last week first off! How is everyone doing? I am feeling a bit better, yaaay! Let''s do something off topic this week, what''s your favorite thing about PS? I am asking because well..I need the reminder right now. I love PS, don''t get me wrong..but sometimes I feel kind of insulted at some of the things that are said about younger people and well that can be kind of frustrating. Anyway, remind me of how great of a place this is!! And I want to hear everyone''s great success stories for the weekend!

Hi Sarah! I''m so glad you''re feeling better. It''s always a bummer to get sick.

I like all the thoughtful ppl on PS that do stuff like say they''re sorry you''re sick. Even if we''ve never met. :) I guess there are a few ppl out there that can rub you the wrong way, but for the most part, everyone here is very supportive and nice. :)

The weather in Chicago has been GORGEOUS!!! Yesterday AM, FI and I went on a bike ride on the lake front. It was really nice. He has a uber fancy road bike and I borrowed my sister''s uber fancy road bike so I could keep up (compared to my entry level road bike). What does that mean now?? I want an uber fancy road bike...

Sigh.... Maybe next summer. Sister said I can use her bike for my race, so I''ll get one next summer. That gives me some time to save $1200...

I like how everyone is helpful here - even for the simplest questions. sometimes i am pretty clueless about wedding stuff and i appreciate how patient, helpful and kind people are here.
i am happy that i went to the gym this morning at FIVE AM!!!!! i am not even working - had to bring friends to the airport at 4:30 so i packed my gym stuff and went - felt great - what a great way to start the day!
have a good day everyone!

my favorite thing about PS is that I can come on here and make fun of younger people.
JUST KIDDING! I love that brides of all ages are on here with all their different backgrounds and experiences.

well, I came up with a cunning plan to finally do cardio as I won''t run. I am going to do the PlayStation dance dance revolution games. we have a PS3 and they don''t have any games for it, but luckily PS2 games will play on it. I had to order a special dance mat (that''s the controller) that works on the PS3. so I''m waiting impatiently for it to arrive. I had a look at the game I bought and there''s a workout section and it counts how many calories you burn. really can''t wait to get started!

Noelwr, That sounds like a GREAT idea. I majorly S.U.C.K. at dance dance revolution(DDR), so that''d probably not work out too well for me, but if you can do it that''s awesome. You should break out some DDR moves @ the wedding. Ha ha. :)

Monday I was bad and did no work out. But I finished off installing our closet system all by myself. I''m way more handy than FI is, I think because we''ve always done DIY home improvement projects growing up, whereas FI didn''t. Then today I was going to do something, but I woke with a cold-a-brewing. I ran out to CVS to get some Airborne to stave this cold off. The funny thing is just last week, I won a bet with FI that I wouldn''t catch his cold. I didn''t, but seems like I caught a different one. Guess that''s what I get for "bragging" about my "awesome immune system." Dummy!!!!

Noel that made me crack up hehehe.

Anyway, it sounds like y''all are all doing great!

lliang_chi: I am glad your sister is letting you borrow her bike! That is awesome! Also, glad you''ve had some good weather! How''s the closet look? Is your cold any better?

DMBfiredancer: Everyone does try to be patient, I appreciate that, too. That is AWESOME about going to the gym, way to really get moving!

noelwr: How''s the DDR going? DDR is supposed to be really fun!

So here''s my update: I exercised a bit this week, yaay! Walked about 20 minutes the other night and ran around with my doggie last night enough to get my heart-beat up some. I''ve also been doing some walking around stores which counts as leisure walking I suppose. For food..I''ve been semi-good and semi-bad. Cut my portions down, but not enough water. Back on my not enough water track, so I need to stop bouncing back and forth and fix that this week. So I got some semi-bad news yesterday...I went to play with my dress and try BM dresses up against it and the seamstress was there..she said I can''t lose anymore weight in my waist and not a significant amount more in my hips or bust or it''s going to be very expensive and maybe impossible to alter the dress down enough. Sigh. So at this point it looks like I am at toning only. I am going to try to concentrate on my arms. I didn''t want to be a chubby girl when I got married, but honestly it''s too late to do anything else. So at this point I at least want to look like a toned chubby girl. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good week!! How''s your routine going? Any good food?

Here''s a question: What''s your favorite fruit?
36.gif

my favorite fruit varies - right now it is peaches - yum!
i just wish i would grab for the peach when i feel ''snacky'' and not everything else in sight.
stress eating is still my biggest struggle - ive been walking about an hour a day and going swimming for fun in the ocean but my eating is not so good. i know i can REALLY start to see progress if i just control my eating.

boo hoo! the place I ordered my DDR mat from cancelled my order! the reason was: "Item cannot be dispatched"
what the heck does that mean?!? and I can''t buy it in any store here. I asked FI to see if he could find some other store in the UK to order it from. so now I have to wait even longer...

Sarah: at least the pressure is off to lose weight. sounds like something nice to hear "You can''t lose anymore weight or you won''t fit in your dress." I haven''t lost weight since I started excercising. I have become smaller around the waist from toning exercises so do be careful not to overtone!

my fave fruit is grapefruit. i have one every morning. I started first eating apples but heard they actually contain a lot of sugar and it''s better to opt for citrus fruits, which is lucky for me since I love grapefruit.

DMB yum, now I''m hungry!!

Noel I am sorry about DDR!
7.gif
I guess that is true. Hmm. Well I can always tone I guess, right?
33.gif
Yeah I personally love apples, love love!! But I try not to eat too many. Hehe.

Sarah the closet looks awesome! Go me in the DIY-ness. The cold still lingered a bit, so I didn''t get my weekly run in and now I''m in FL looking at venues, so I won''t be able to do any/much exercising.
7.gif
Maybe I''ll hit an outdoor pool. I grew up in FL so I LOOOOVE swimming in outdoor pools. They just don''t have a lot of them up where it gets cold.

Favorite fruit? I''m like DMB I heart peaches. Mmmmm :) I actually like all fruit with the exception of pears, papaya and some other weirder Asian fruit that probably no one here knows about. But yeah, for me it''d be everything. FI loves fruit too.

Today I woke up with one my first real hangover. I probably drank like 12 oz of water all day yesterday, so I was totally dehydrated, and drank a bunch of wine at my aunts house. I''ve got a headache etc. I''m pretty sure it''s the wine and not the cold. So I''m water-ing it up now.

I actually lied!
38.gif
bad noelwr!

my favorite fruit is mango. I just forgot about it because I don''t usually eat it at home. whenever I go to Singapore I have fresh mango juice all the time. yummmmmmmmm...........

so today we went to Delft (that''s a town in Holland) as I am starting a Delft Blue (pottery hand-painted in blue colors with Dutch theme decorations like windmills or wintry scenes) Christmas ball collection and wanted to buy some more for the tree this year. I spent about $1000 on decorations.
22.gif
wish I could put up the X-mas tree already! anyway, I had little pancakes with melted butter and powdered sugar
38.gif
. but the good news is that this week I weighed the lightest I have in quite a while. but after the pancakes I''m sure I''m back up there on the scale.

example of my type of Christmas decorations if you''re interested:
