So I have been searching for a watch / bracelet and have noticed that a few of our members have made extraordinary watch conversions into bracelets. That got me thinking that maybe we should share some of these beauties.. and if you find a nice antique watch please feel free to share!

(P.s.. I hope someone finds a nice art deco diamond watch that's 7.5 inches - I know wishful thinking but it might be out there!)

I have hordes and of old vintage 40s 50s watches I even have one from the teens that I wear sometimes summer working summer or not. However, I don’t have one of those beautiful jowled cases that are so fabulous. I have seen them too. If you’re interested, I can always pull them out and photograph them tomorrow when I have some sunshine.

Oh yes I love photos hahaha please post them here. Pricescope is not Pricescope without photos!! Even plain gold watches are luxurious these days lol.

Ooh, this could be a deadly thread/topic to go into, down the rabbit hole...I'm equal parts excited to see photos, and horrified in case there's something that I just. cannot. live. without.

LOL "summer working summer or not" OMG, I am definately going to spellcheck my speech to text. That's horrific.

I am active (on and off) on a watch collecting site. One of the dear collectors love women's watches and sent me a huge stash he had been saving to add to mine.

The dear, tiny mechanical movements are so pricy to have serviced.

Well hullo.
Here comes the PSer with the largest, still, vintage watch collection.
Ever since I was a young girl watches held me fascinated. At my peak I had circa 70 watches, I’m down to about 50.
I’ve done a few conversions so here we go.
1. art deco platinum watch.
This one was because the face was minuscule and unreadable. It was a journey what with the schmoozle of importing a bio hazard aka a lab diamond which was then too small followed by the most disastrous setting effort I’ve ever seen. Finally my dream was realised.
2. The tourmaline set watch. This one I actually bought without a movement or glass and knew straightaway what I wanted.
3. The miss mash watch. This one was the mistake purchase of my mother. Yes, the head were diamonds but the 14kt band was set with CZ not diamonds. It was years after the purchase that we found out so no going back. Even my jewellery was shocked that such a beautifully made baracelet held CZ and not diamonds. So to finish the Frankenstein watch I put a Moissanite in the centre. Why not.
4. The $200 lucky buy. Again, another watch not working and with a short band. I just found that my emerald earrings, which weren’t, but jade (another on line auction purchase with shoddy photos years back) fit exactly in the space. I can switch out the centre as I have a square onyx piece and an Opal piece that likewise fit in the space. Go me.
The 5th and finally watch conversion isn’t mine as yet.
