CA woman eats engagement ring in her sleep

I always take my rings off... it’s scary to think what it’ll do to your fingers when you’re dead asleep. Have you ever woken up with numb hands?

I wonder if she takes Ambien? I know a couple people who did crazy eating things after taking ambien and going to sleep.

i just woundered if she ate too much cheese before bed !

Sleep eating is definitely a thing. My mother did it for years. She would get up in the night and eat anything with sugar, literally anything even just plain sugar! She was totally asleep and wouldn't wake up while she ate. The next morning she wouldn't remember anything. She wasn't on sleeping pills either. We had a lock on our pantry (her choice). Thank goodness she doesn't do it any more. Once she got her anxiety under control, the sleep eating stopped. Our brains are a beautiful but weird thing!

The article said that doctors opted not to let it pass naturally but it didn’t say how they got it out.
