The only issue I see is that if anything ever happens to our rings, they don''t just send you a check, they work with a participating jeweler (the jeweler who custom made our rings is a participating jeweler) and have that jeweler replace them with the same quality, or we can upgrade at that time if we so choose and pay the additional cost out ...

How high should a cushion halo be set? | PriceScope Forum

I'm in the process of deciding all the finer details of how I want my ring to look. I'm going with a 1.6-1.7 mm pave shank and similar halo around the stone. There will be curved stems holding up the stone, and the stems and gallery will be pave. I'm just not sure how high the stem should go...

Would I be able to buy a nice pear shape opal for 2K ...

Not hard to find at all, there are plenty of pear and tear drop shaped stones cut by cutters. My approach is to usually try and cut a round/oval stone as a general rule, the tear drop or pear shape is a classic indicator of 'I wanted an Oval but there was a flaw or other issue during cutting' so that could be why you don't see many pears or tear drop shaped.

Can a GIA Cert be wrong? | PriceScope Forum

While it must be wonderful to be on top, the danger exists from all sides and there is only one way to go if you move. I believe there is a small, but growing, agreement in the trade attacking the supremacy of the GIA Lab mostly in criticism of its CUT grading strategy.

We are BBB A+, 4.8 on Google reviews, etc. the reviews you quoted are a very small percentage of reviews and unfairly skewed. Your interpretation of the 110% refund is incorrect - it is the prices paid plus 10% (up to $250 in ADDITION to the price paid) - which is industry leading!

Will polishing platinum rings once a year wear them down ...

Both metals scratch over time with everyday wear but with Platinum these scratches don't remove metal content from a jewel. Polishing or re-polishing of a platinum jewel will result in almost no loss of weight or metal content whereas with gold, a jewel might lose roughly 10% of its weight.

How long is the shipping from US to Singapore via USPS ...

Remember too that all vendors will only accept return diamonds by this method, so it must be safe it they trust it! I think I am right in remebering that vendors are insured to send diamonds out by Fedex etc, but an appraiser or customer won't be able to insure the package to do it this way, that's why returns must be made by USPS reg.

How do I mail an engagement ring safely? | PriceScope

If so I would probably FedEx overnight it - actually, that's exactly what I did last time, for the peace of mind of only having to deal with one 'transit' day.. however the ring MUST be insured with a carrier that covers shipping, otherwise this is courting disaster, as FedEx/UPS are very stingy re. jewellery insurance.
