Wearing platinum and white gold together? | PriceScope Forum

Well, it turns out that white gold DEFINITELY reacts with my skin and turns yellow-ish. I just learned that often jewelers will use white gold solder for platinum jewelry pieces, which perfectly explains why the solder holding the prong basket onto the band gets a golden sheen a couple days after cleaning...

White gold worn & scratched after only 4 days of wear ...

Re: White gold worn & scratched after only 4 days of wear! : in my experience, when I was having issues with my B&M setting, they were defensive but willing to try and fix things. I think you have to determine what your end result needs to be, and work towards that. If you want a return, just keep focusing on a return and ask for it.

Rose gold on men? | PriceScope Forum

Specifically on watches in my case. My wife thinks rose gold looks effemanent on me. I am a pretty big guy with tattoos all over. She thinks white gold or platinum cased watch is all I should get, but I do like a little bling and rose gold has lots of pop to it.

Gold Market in Jeddah | PriceScope Forum

I recently discovered the gold market in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia--and I am completely hooked/addicted. Over the past four months, I went from being a basic jewelry buying customer to a complete gold bug. Thank god DH is onboard with my "entertainment". I check gold prices daily. I visit the gold market at least three times per month.

Anyone own or know about PEACH GOLD? | PriceScope Forum

I've been exploring different gold alloys for a ring reset. I love certain shades of rose gold, typically 18k pale rose creamy alloys, not the more coppery 14k color. I came across info online about peach gold, which is supposed to flatter different skin tones than regular yellow gold. I'm having a hard time finding any pictures.

Have you really got an Alexandrite? Read this first ...

Fascinating and wonderful post, LD! I loved reading it, and this part especially intrigues me: 5. If you pick up your normal camera and take a photo of the gem in daylight and the picture resembles what you see with your eyes (ie a green gemstone) then you’re either a very talented photographer OR the gem you have is not Alexandrite.
