Fall Proposal Ideas

Thinking of popping the question this season, we have a few ideas to use as inspiration! Fall proposals can be pretty magical, so lean into that spirit!

Fall often symbolizes the beginning of the end, because it brings in the crisp cool air that leads us to winter’s dark. In this case, it’s the beginning of the end of single life and married life will blossom like the spring. Proposing in the fall has lots of perks, and PSLs are only one of them. There are tons of people for whom Fall is their favorite season, that is no accident!

If you need inspo for a ring to go along with your fall proposal, we have picked some gorgeous pieces (see the end of the post).

FALL PROPOSAL IDEAS

PROPOSE AT THE PUMPKIN PATCH

Pumpkin Patch

Going out to the pumpkin patch can be such a fun activity, but also brings a lot of people a deep sense of nostalgia. Reminding them of their past while giving them a view of the future is a great dynamic. Even if it doesn’t stir up a lot of emotion for your intended, it is a lovely way to spend a day and the pics would be outstanding!

ASK AT THE APPLE ORCHARD

Apple Orchard

Ok, you say fall and many people immediately think of pumpkin, but apples are also in season. Warm cider, a riding tour of the orchard, is just a fruitful way to spend a day. (Yes, I groaned too) Call ahead and see if they will let you set up a picnic or something special and go in there and get that yes!

LOVE IN THE LEAVES

Fall Proposal

Get the backdrop of the fall foliage for your engagement pictures. Enjoy a walk in a favorite park or nature reserve, and enjoy the colors of the season. If your walk ends at a familiar bench, where there might already be drinks stashed. You could have friends and family waiting in the wings to pop out and surprise your love. If you love the fall, these pictures would be somewhat magical.

FALL IN WITH THE DOGS

Couple with Dog

Including a pet is great any time of year, but bringing your dog out to frolic in the leaves will likely add to the cheer in the air. You can tie the ring (securely) to the dog’s collar and take him/her out for a long relaxing stroll. At some point, ask your intended to check the collar, something might be attached to it. While they are turned to look and find the ring, you could even drop to a knee. How sweet is that?

USE PUMPKINS AS A PROP

Jack o'Lantern

Schedule a pumpkin carving night, you could include friends and/or family as well. I encourage you to have a pumpkin ready, you can get a foam pumpkin that you can carve. Maybe have “Will You Marry Me?” carved in that pumpkin but keep it held back. When everyone goes to light their pumpkins at the end of the night, to share their designs, set that one in front of your love lit with a reusable tea light. I encourage a foam pumpkin, because you may want to keep it!

We’re in love with love, and we’re in love with jewelry; engagements are a sweet combination of the two.

A fantastic ring is not only going to help get you your yes, but it will also be something that they will treasure for years to come! Here are some ring styles that I think would be amazing for a fall proposal!
