Wow your ring is absolutely exquisite! I too love the combination of the halo with a plain shank. That final picture you posted is just breathtaking!!!
Thanks so much for your sweet comments. I'm disappointed my pictures don't really do the light performance justice. The sun hasn't come out at all since when I got it yesterday afternoon. I hope I can post more/better pictures soon though!
Yssie: I am actually planning on wearing/having this ring as my wedding ring, at least for a while.
It's a long story, but my FH proposed with his mother's e-ring which, while very lovely, isn't very *me* at all. She was so generous to have given it to him/me, and I was very touched. At the time I gave an emphatic "yes" and accepted his mother's ring happily, but I was really honest with him about my wanting my own ring someday that we could pick out together. He proposed when neither of us had any money, and has since found his dream job earning much more than before. He has told me that I should get what I really want, and that we can consider it my wedding ring. I plan on wearing them on separate hands. In the future, I may buy myself a simple Platinum band to wear when I don't want to take the rocks out and about.
I hope this isn't too weird, but it seems like the best way. I'd love to hear if anyone else wears their e-ring/wedding ring on different hands.
The appraiser asked me if I had been wearing it because it " is the cleanest ring I've ever seen that's actually been worn." I guess compulsively cleaning it has paid off!
