This stone was originally purchased from Simply Sapphires, and they said it was a "Cobalt Spinel".

This stone exhibits some half and half extinction from the elongated shape, and just out of curiosity, I sent some pictures to Barry Bridgestock asking about a recut, and he said that I should enjoy it the way it is, blue spinels of this size are getting harder and harder to find.

I have a ton of pictures of this spinel, as it is one of my favorites. Pains me to list it, actually.

It's lovely! I love the dark blue color.

Oddly enough, I love blue and I love green, but I've always been a little "meh" on teal/carribean blues. I have this lovely carribean colored tourm cushion from Barry and I never ever wear it, lol.
