I like many singers but there are only a few that I would pay to see live:

My favorite male singers are Josh Groban and Marc Antony (spanish)

My favorite female singers are: Barbara Streisand and Bette Midler

Rob Thomas. I've seen him once solo and twice with Matchbox Twenty. He is hands down my favorite artist of all time.

I'd love to hear a Gaga show because I hear they're just awesome.

I would've loved to go see Dave Matthews 5+ years ago, but I'm not as into his stuff now.

No kidding, atroop! He's definitely a hottie. He did "Smooth" at the last concert...but he did it with one of the guys from One Republic, who were the opening act. He kinda did a bluesy twist on it and it was pretty awesome. He also did "Little Wonders" from the "Meet the Robinsons" soundtrack...I LOVE that song, and it was AWESOME to hear it live!

I absolutely love Marc Anthony. He has a way to make a song come alive. He's a powerhouse despite being so tiny (lol).

I see him live every chance I get. He's an amazing performer. Amazing.

I'm obsessed with Florence and the Machine right now--love her voice!

I'd love to see Josh Groban or Andrea Bocelli as well, but MAN, they're expensive!

Dudes: Jason Mraz and Michael Bublé
Chicks: Regina Spektor and Kristin Chenoweth

But I hate concerts. If I could catch them doing a quite little set in a coffee shop I'd be in heaven.

Celtic Thunder {I'm a PROUD Thunderhead} I will see them as many times as our entertainment budget will allow.

Rod Stewart. OMG Several summers ago my husband surprised me with three different concert tickets as an anniversary present. I was in HEAVEN.

Celine Dion. I hate her Cirque de complicated back up with all the dancers and mimes (a particuplar hate of mine}, but I think she is incredible.

My husband is a Bruce fanatic.

I've seen a lot of my favorites in person. Some include:

Sarah MacLachlan
Natalie Merchant
the Indigo Girls
James Taylor
Paul Simon
Peter Gabriel (This one was a long time ago, before he begain doing less mainstream music).
I also saw another of my all-time favorites live, and his concert was horrible: Van Morrison. I'm a huge Van Morrison fan, but the night we saw him, he didn't interact with the audience at all. He did sound good but I kind of felt like I was listening to a CD.

I have ALWAYS wanted to see Dolly Parton live. It is seriously a lifelong dream.

I've been fortunate enough to see lots of great acts including Tom Petty, Guns N' Roses (at their peak), John Mayer with Buddy Guy, Tina Turner, James Taylor, Matchbox 20 (snooooozefest...), The Wailers, Eminem, man I love concerts.

Ditto to Zoe's list!

I've seen Paul Simon a couple times and I can't get enough. James Taylor is amazing, too. I went to the Simon & Garfunkel reunion tour back in 2003 and felt like they were performing the soundtrack of my life. My sister and I see the Indigo Girls every summer at the nearby outdoor music space, which is my favorite venue. We sit on the lawn, eat tons of food, play card games, and drink ourselves silly. Thank goodness we can walk home!

Storm Large. I don't know that I ever would attribute her as my favorite singer, but she's the only singer I've shelled out money to see in the past decade and I did it twice.... interesting!

Mariah Carey hands down. Yes, she's a weirdo in her personal life, but that woman can sing! I've only had the opportunity to see her live one time and it was awesome.

I've seen Phish two times in concert. Good jam-band music, but not the crowd for me ;-)

I'd love to see John Mayer because I think he's a hottie :sun:

Yeesh, I can't remember the last time I saw a concert. Sad. My parents saw Cher a few years ago (I would've liked that-I dig her), and then they saw Celine Dion in Vegas the last year she was there. (woulda liked that too) I saw Pink Floyd in 1994 I think. Oh boy, that really was a long time ago. I've been to several but I musta turned into an ole fuddy duddy mid 90's I guess. Poison/Britny Fox was my first concert in 7th grade!

I'm not a buff but I do like going to the opera. Which is your fav? My fav is La Boheme

My favorite is La Traviata. Sung by Beverly Sills.

I DO like other artists too. A few years back I saw Kenny Loggins. Lord, but he sounds BETTER than he did years ago!

Deceased artists I would love to see: John Denver (saw him once and he was a stellar performer) and Eva Cassidy (taken from the world too too young!)

We saw John Mayer several years ago and he sounded great, but he looks very strange up on stage. He contorts his face and upper body, it was actually hard to watch.
But I agree with you, he is a hottie!

Haven, I laughed when I read this because the way John Mayer contorts his face while singing kind of bugs me...a lot. You're right, it is hard to watch.

I've never seen Phish, and although I like their music, I'm not sure it's the crowd for me either.

Guster and BNL were great live. I've seen BNL twice and that's always a fun show.
