Villeroy & Boch china - do you have it?

I've long wanted a few of these dishes. We already have a formal china set (not V&B) and basic everyday dishes, and I'd like to add a few to our casual plates (everyday use).

Do you have V&B dinnerware and if so which line? Do you love it? Is it ok for casual use? DH wants something that is "practical" and I'm trying to convince him this is practical, just pretty too.

My parents have their white lace porcelain range. It is gorgeous, and although it's pretty new, so I don't know how it will hold up, it looks to be beautifully well made.

we've got the twist alea verde with a few pieces of twist alea limone mixed in. it was on our wedding registry and we luckily got every piece we registered for. I LOVE IT!! we're very fortunate. we got married back in '02 so we've had it for a pretty long time and use it every day. it has withstood the test of time! very durable and very beautiful, in my humble opinion!

you won't be disappointed =)

We have the Flow range and love it. I have and love the vivo serving wear too as it is all ovensafe. I make lasagnes etc in it and they look great. We also have Maxima red, white and champagne glasses. They are beautiful but annoyingly too big for the dishwasher.

We certainly do. We have two lines: one is the Switch and the other a discontinued line (I think it's called Casa). LURVE them!

Thanks for starting this thread, Janinegirly. I'm sooooo happy I can now buy odd pieces to replace the ones our helpers broke. I don't think they sell V&B in SG anymore.

ETA: I just browsed through the selection on the eShop site. I can find the Switch collection which is incredibly helpful, but cannot find Casa! :(( Anyone has any idea where I can find them pls?

Thanks everyone!!

Right now thinking of the Switch 3 and French Garden patterns, so it's nice to hear others have them. The Twist Alea Verde looks nice too for everyday use.

I didn't doubt the durability, so good to hear they have stood the test of time! Another question is ease of use if that makes sense. Not for me but DH doesn't like clunky formal dishes and will avoid them and go for the cheap set  . So I guess I'm wondering if these dishes are ok for everyday in the sense that they are not too formal "looking" or heavy.

And I love everyone's patterns - thank you for sharing!

PS Phoenix - have you tried Replacement Ltd? There's alway ebay too..

V&B has so many beautiful designs. Those you've posted along with the other posters' are divine. I love them!

It's funny, we didn't use ours for many years; and have only recently started using them and am so glad that we did. They're quite durable, even dishwasher proof, but we've elected to hand-wash them mainly. I don't think they're too formal looking at all; I mean they're gorgeous but not OTT, like Wedgewood (sp?) or Versace and the like, that you'd hesitate before using them.

Thanks for the tips. I'll search thru them.

French Garden is certainly meant for everyday. I just have too much china so do not use it everyday. But I bought the canister set and keep it on the kitchen counter and love it! I bought mine on a terrific Macy's sale when it was marked down and I used a Macy's card to get 15% more off (I actually got the card just for that reason!). I know I got at least 50% off retail or maybe more.

Yes, I have the basic white Anmut one (http://shop.villeroy-boch.com/public_de/gedeckter-tisch/geschirr-1/classic/anmut.html) and it is holding up very well. My parents used the Petite Fleur for years (http://shop.villeroy-boch.com/public_de/gedeckter-tisch/geschirr-1/country/petite-fleur.html) and that also held up very well.

I LOVE Anmut. I think food looks beautiful on white anyway, but this one is just exceptional. If I did not have way too many dishes, I would get this one. They often have an beautiful display of this at Bloomingdales.

Yes, I have French Garden. I wanted it a long time and finally got some when it was on a good sale. Very happy with it!! Goes in the dishwasher, microwave and still looks great! I use it daily and it is very cheerful and pleasing. Glad I got it at long last.
