Jewellery Collection

Prompted by another thread and since I am in the mood to share with you PS'ers (I know, I know, any excuse

!! he he), here's a list of my jewellery (mostly diamonds

):


1) a 3.02 carat F VS2 RB, posted earlier in this forum (it's supposed to be re-set in a style a la Lynn B's, but I am still thinking of upgrading to a 4 carat RB or a 4-5 carat cushion, of the same or better colour, and same or slightly lower clarity), very very firey, my most prized possession (for the time being)

2) a pair of studs, G VVS2, total carat weight is just over 2 carats

3) dangling diamond earrings (recent acquisition), E-F colour, VVS-VS2 quality, tcwt is 3.25carats, very very blingy

4) a 3-stone diamond RHR, G-H colour, IF-VS2, tcwt is 2.2 I think (the 2 smaller side stones, cut so-so were my previous studs - given to me by DH as a wedding present. The centre stone is of very good cut)

5) an eternity band, currently being made, also of E-F, VVS-VS quality

6) a heart pendant (made up of mele diamonds), very white, E-F, VVS-VS quality

7) a 2 carat uncertified RB diamond pendant, not sure of colour and clarity, looks like E, VVS, cut not that nice

a tennis bracelet, again not sure of colour and clarity, but very white and clean, and sparkling

9) a Rolex watch with diamonds on the face/ dial thingy (not sure what it's called)

10) a Tiffany Atlas RHR

11) another pair of diamond earrings, cheaper, for when I am travelling

12) three pearl necklaces of different sizes and lengths

13) various pieces of gold jewellery


14) a Gucci watch (forgot this one in my other list)


15) oh and a small pearl pendant with tiny diamonds


That's it, I think! No coloured gemstones or coloured diamonds, though I am currently considering purchasing a pair of intense yellow pear-shaped diamond earrings from DBL and a inexpensive ring with a beautiful Aquamarine stone and diamond pave halo locally.

Very, very beautiful collection, Lien!

I think your diamond solitaire is gorgeous and perfect! Seriously, as tiny as your fingers are, I just can''t see that a larger diamond would look good. I think one can go larger in an emerald cut or perhaps a cushion since some of their weight is in the depth. But I think there is a point where rounds can be too big....but that''s just my opinion!

Lien. very beautiful collection. You and I shud get together at coffee bean. We are both experiencing the same thing with our rings at the moment. Maybe we both need a little perspective. Your 3ct rb is outta this world. But if you have doubts about it , you won''t be happy no matter what setting you put it in. I agree that a fancy maybe the way to go in bigger size.

I know what you mean, really I do, and i appreciate what you''re saying. That''s what everyone has been saying to me IRL too. But honestly, I don''t know if it''s the diamond devil

in me or what, but I keep trying on these huge honkers at local stores and they just look...hhmmm...so spectacular on my finger!!

I have to admit too that I''ve been comtemplating perhaps getting a 4-5 carat cushion from someone like Mark of ERD, after having seen so many gorgeous cushions on PS, esp. lately. I also love emarald-cut stones; I think they are absolutely elegant, but IMO, they need to be quite a bit bigger to really make an impact (I am gonna get killed by EC lovers here!! forgive me!!)

But I do love the H&A in a round and pls correct me if I am wrong, doesn''t a RB retain value better than a cushion? I know diamonds are not supposed to be investments and I am not looking to buy them as such, more for enjoyment purposes, but I''d still like my diamond to not lose its value so much.
