Sunday was nice 80s with a nice breeze.
Spose to be nice this week.

Feeling not to bad, cooler weather helped.
Lots of mold in the air so not the best asthma/sinus day but ill take it over what it was.

How are you doing?

Time for an update....how are you feeling today?

Happy 4th of July!

Lori

pretty good :}
leg still swells up towards the end of the day but it hasn''t been painful most of the time.

Sinuses are a bit toast there has been a lot of gunk in the air lately.
It is a strange year, usually by now the air has cleared up except on rainy days but this year the air has more gunk in it than May did.

Happy 4th!!!!
How are you feeling?

Glad to hear that you''re not in as much pain as you were! The swelling still worries me.... Do you have any throbbing in your leg?

The humidity seems to hold the pollution closer in and we''re breathing all of the gunk. It is like that here, too, since we''re getting very little rain. The ozone is really awful here, too.

DH and Coco are sleeping away and I''m watching The Twilight Zone on TV...the original version. It seems so corny now, but it brings back memories. Do you remember the Night Gallery series? Now, that was scary!

I''m going to bed soon. We''ll be up late tomorrow night with all of the fireworks going off. Clyde hates the noise and will bark for hours on end. He and Bonnie are 10 years old and they still can''t handle the fireworks that the neighbors set off. I''ll be ready with the hose in case they set our roof on fire....

Well, first, happy 4th of July to everyone! Second, Karl, I am glad you are not in pain. I am also glad you will return to the doctor if the swelling does not go down. I do like you to take care of yourself! And, third, Lori, would you give me some more information on how you are doing? Storm/Karl asked how you were and I was hoping to hear you were feeling better physically (although I know that your lupus is chronic, you just went through a particularly bad spell with complications that you said might even keep you from making a trip to New Orleans). You did tell Karl (and the rest of us) a bit about your situation (being temporarily without your husband and watching TV) and about the weather, but didn't give us a health update. Naturally I do not mean to push you if you do not want to discuss it, but I wanted you to know that I care just as Karl does.

Hugs,
AGBF

. Our Canada Day on the First was cold and miserable for the first time in recent memory - no swimming and BBQing while wearing coats!! Just plain fugly as far as celebrations go

Karl, I''ve been following your thread for some time now, and know nothing about treating your leg condition (sorry), but I''m sending you more healing vibes and suggesting that you see your doc sooner rather than later. Medical conditions involing the circulatory system scare the heck out of me.

Lori, I''m reading your posts in Karl''s thread too, and see that your health is still a concern for you even though you tend to ''play it down'' and look after others'' problems first. Lori, we want you feeling better too, my dear.

Massive healing vibes coming to both of you from cool and rainy Canada

PS: Could somebody, anybody send us some lovely hot weather! Don''t bother sending that deadly humidity, though

Karl - I am so glad that your leg is getting better and happy 4th! I had a repeat doppler on Thursday and my clot is gone, however, my muscles are damaged and I was diagnosed with a MTHFR gene mutation and will have to see a specialist. From what I''ve read so far it seems to be a common mutation that predisposes one to DVT, but is not a significant risk factor for other vascular diseases. The mutation can also cause a lot of problems with pregnancy so there will be some discussion about whether or not I should have another child.

glad to hear that the clot is gone.
Sorry to hear about the MTHFR gene mutation and the muscle damage.
The muscle should heal with time mine did from the first dvt, not 100% but good enough not to cause to many issues.
It will take a long time.

There are several kinds of MTHFR gene mutation hopefully yours is the kind that wont cause you issues.

Hang in there, glad your doing better and will be praying for good news for you.
