To upgrade my diamond.

I got a .55ct a month ago and I want to take the next step up to .75ct.

I know it may not make that much difference size wise but I really want to get moving onto the next stage. Someone where I work has a .70ct and hers looks bigger than mine - and its just an average cut!

There IS a good sized difference between a .55ct and a .7ct I know it for sure because I have a 0.43 ct pendant and a 0.7 ct ring.

I know it will make a huge dif. My DH still has his ex-wife''s 1/2 ct diamond. I compared it to mine one day, and I showed him the dif. He could not believe (nor could I) that it looked SO much bigger.

He doesn't mind but after all the times I was keep calling him in to look at yet another diamond he is nervous!

Not just yet. I am going to concentrate my money on the upgrade for now. I might do the earrings next year

If your current setting will hold it I definitely say go for it!!!! There will definitely be a noticeable difference in size. However, if you have to buy a whole new setting, I would wait to upgrade because the cost would be pretty great and I would wait for a bigger jump up to near 1 carat or something.

lol!! Well it has to last at least the next two years. We are renewing our vows next year and we need to save up for that. I am having a new wedding band made by WF for that too so I am definitely not going to be able to upgrade any time soon

That cut is GORGEOUS!!!! Can I nudge you into a 1 carat, though? If you got a 1 carat you would never need to "upgrade" again.... Unless you really had to get something huge. I know. I started out with 2 1-point stones, worked my way-gradually to a 1.25-and never got larger than a 1.67. Some of us don''t play with the big boys . But come on...one carat...one carat from WhiteFlash...also an ACA. Before it''s in your ring....

Lol! I am usually very easy to persuade where diamonds are concerned but in this case the money I would have to spend to reach a carat is not possible. I wish I could though!!
