Let me add a third enabling opinion...I really like the Adwar split shank pave design you posted! It would look outstanding with the color of your rhodolite! Just don''t spend too much so you can still get that Trinity bangle!

Oh I definately agree that the halo would just make the stone''s color stand out even more! What necklace are you going to wear to compliment such a beautiful ring and earrings?

Tsk, tsk, my friends. Are the HW earrings not worth waiting to set the rhodolite properly?

Sparkles,
Of course, and of course!

kcoursolle,

I like the stone so much that I'm thinking of buying it in other cuts -- square, oval and pears! Would the pears make great drop jackets from my studs?

That color is amazing! That is my new favorite (next to diamonds of course)!! I have a butterfly pendant with the same type of stone. But not nearly the color you''ve got there. If you got more stones... perhaps a matching necklace.

Where did you find that beauty?

Please show me your pendant. What kind of necklace do you have in mind?
I got my stone at www.artcutgems.com.

Hmmm... I don''t really have a specific one in mind. Guess it would just depend on what styles you like. The halos are popular right now, I saw some really cool ritani ones I think it was you could use a beautiful rhodolite in leu of the middle diamond, let me see if I can find what I am referring too

I love the color and shape. I think a very thin diamond halo would be stunning...keep the band delicate and let the stone do the talking!

Good call, maybe the second one with a thinner surrounding diamonds if that makes sense. I just like the second one because it''s a little more unique. Course any of them are beautiful!

what carat weight is the stone? I think a split shank is too much, but...just my opinion...

I think I'm going to bide my time and have the LM set it in a pave halo and band. I'm reserving the split shank setting for a light pink stone.

DF,
It's 4.14 ct and measures 10X8 mm. It doesn't come any larger.

How fun!
Did you see the necklace I had made recently? I''m thinking of buying a pear cut and dangling it from the centre diamond.

The necklace you had made is beautiful. I think a pear cut dangling would be pretty too. Are you going to do a diamond or some sort of gemstone?

The stone is not, but the setting would be.

Thanks! I owe you guys clearer pictures though. The pear would be detachable, and I hope to do both a diamond and various gemstones. In due course.
